Capriotti's Sandwich Shop — Restaurant in Tucson

I have been trying my best to try a Capriotti's sandwich for some time now, my oldest raves about the Bobbie and how she likes it so.

Myself on the other hand gauge all sandwiches/deli joints by their ability to make an Italian sandwich. If you can't make the basic Italian and make it tasty, then why come back for other choices.

Basic lil sandwich shop with a counter and limited seating. The establishment was busy with their call in orders and I stood for about 4 minutes before I was even addressed.

Small Italian, drink, and chips for $15. But they do make the "voted best sandwich in America" afterall so my hopes were high. Fountain drinks are Pepsi products but I had the tea and it wasn't tasty.

Waited for about 5 minutes and my food was ready. Looked like a typical Italian. Not much in the meat department but plenty in the bread and cheap lettuce.

I found the bread to be old and stale. I can let that slide if there is that great Italian sandwich flavor. Unfortunately, the meats were almost non existent and the flavor was bland.

I may try the Bobbie some time but won't be back for my favorite sandwich from this establishment.

Why?

Well the best Italian I have found in Tucson is just . 5 miles away, I'll stick with great flavor, fresh bread, cheaper price for more, and way better...

A HUGE shout out to Kendra and Jason the employees there!! During our experience there my husband and I both noticed how well Kendra and Jason worked as a team, and was able to accomplish, stocking, cleaning, and made food in a fast, efficient manner to male sure the customers was well taken care of and the maintainingthe up keeps of a clean restaurant. Well done!! It was my husband and I first time there. Kendra suggested one of her favorite subs, Chicken Chipotle Cheese Steak, which I decided to try, and my husband went for the classic cheese steak. Both of them were scrumptious!! The bread was perfect, not too soft but not hard either. It was served fresh, fast, and hot! The way the cheese just melted into the meats on both subs was just mouthwatering and just the right amount with the Chipotle sauce.! Oh, and can't forget about the meat, both was very flavorful, juicy, hot and seasoned well! The fountain drink selection is unique flavors, but it also has classic beverages too. Husband and I truly enjoyed our dinner there! We even signed up to be reward members, too! You can receive a free drink, soda, or a sub! Amazing Sandwiches! Best ones I’ve had in town, hands down! If you’ve been looking for a great pastrami sandwich (Capastrami), definitely stop here! And if you’re craving thanksgiving dinner randomly, lol Get the Bobbie! 💗 And get them warm! 👩🏻‍🍳 💋 Even if you’re not a fan of cole slaw, there’s no comparison! Like the best homemade style 😋. Even the cookies and cream soda are delicious! The bread was fresh and so was the turkey in the “Bobbie”. The flavors of everything were so good and hit the spot. Can’t wait to try the rest of the menu, it’s THAT GOOD! Great place to catch a quick or slow lunch break! Small seating area, but you can always take it to go! Or order ahead.
