Arizona Stadium: A Classic Desert Oasis
Arizona Stadium, the home of the University of Arizona Wildcats football team, offers a unique and memorable game-day experience. Nestled in the heart of Tucson, this historic venue provides a glimpse into the state's rich football tradition.
The stadium's open-air design allows for comfortable viewing, especially during the cooler months. The vibrant colors and enthusiastic crowd create a lively atmosphere that complements the desert backdrop. While it may not be the largest stadium in the nation, its intimate setting fosters a sense of community among fans.
The pre-game festivities, including tailgating and the spirited performance of the Pride of Arizona marching band, add to the overall excitement. The stadium's amenities, such as food vendors, merchandise stands, and ample parking, ensure a convenient and enjoyable experience for fans of all ages.

Read moreThis stadium is pretty outdated. I love my Wildcats but I can't let that blind me with how terribly outdated the stadium is. They definitely need to get rid of the bleacher type seats. Not alot of college stadiums have bleacher seats anymore. Alot of fans leave at half time due to the bleacher type seating. Extremely uncomfortable. Add chairs like Zona Zoo or North End Zone. The restrooms have absolutely no ventilation or AC. It is extremely hot and uncomfortable even on a cool night to use the restroom. As for the men's. Let's do away with the single urinal for all men to stand around. For a 53,000 person stadium. They need to have bigger corridors for concessions and add more concessions stands. The stadium has expanded but athletics department hasn't added any more room to walk or more stands around the stadium. We just got accepted to the BIG 12. Let's use the money and give Tucson the modern stadium they deserve. Changes don't have to happen overnight but they can begin...
Read moreOkay, trying to be unbiased here. From when I first visited this stadium in 2008 (or it was 2009) it was a P.O.S with lackluster spirit and ambiance. The jumbotron back then was not jumbo, and the sound system was just aweful. Fans and everything was just BLAH.
Fast foward to 2016. 5 Stars for the amazing improvements. Nice beautiful jumbotron, great seating (seat backs now!), amazing sound system that really brings the games alive. Overall ambiance is much more spirited.
Where the stars start to fall is that it still needs major improvement in the areas beneath the bleachers. There is a huge pile of trash when you exit the tunnel to go to the bathrooms or concessions stand. (I will get a picture next time, but its very unsightly). The bathrooms are in horrid conditions, and the food and beverage service areas are highly disorganised and lacking.
Still, its not a bad stadium. It has the potential to be pretty...
