Where do I start, their walk in was closed due to understaffed issues, usually it wouldn’t be an issue but the drive thru that is open now had 8-9 car parked waiting to put the order through. Big hassle! Ordered a dozen taquitos order because I had it before and they were actually hot and tasted good.. I ordered a large tamarindo with no ice, they didn’t have horchata, they gave this small cup which she said was the only size they offered, mind you they are charging for a large and giving you a small medium cup to cheat the customer, what else and of course your totally obligated to take it since you waited a year to get there. I returned it, they weren’t to happy and could tell cause they closed the little window so I wouldn’t hear all the dissing and complaints. Next plate I ordered was a chimichanga combo plate , beans and rice with it, decent portion but the poor chimó was mostly refried beans on the inside instead of the beef. I have a problem with fillers to ensure they don’t run out of meat they soggy up the tortilla with all that bean inside instead of beef. The damm thing wasn’t crispy, it was all soggy, disgusting!! I can’t stand soggy tortilla when it should be very crunchy! Fir that matter I would have gotten a soggy burrito! What a dissapointing experience, really!!! These sort called Mexican restaurants are really missing the mark, this washed down Tex mex way of cooking it’s a total travesty to genuine Mexican cuisine.. Mind you, they are charging you an arm and a leg since the pandemic and now they are really over doing it!!! If you want soggy chimichangas filled with mostly beans, undersized drinks for the prize of big oversized drinks and getting charge a fee for using debit or Apple Pay, and having to wait outside because they can’t help you with walk ins, then this place is for you. And you’ll deserve it for being a total dummy for stopping by in first place!!! Lol There are better places and you won’t walk out thinking I could have just cooked at home for good...
Read moreI have NO idea how this place has 4 stars. It's way overpriced, the food was bland, the beef was overcooked and tuff, my order was WRONG and it was not enough food for 36 bucks. I was HIGHLY disappointed! I asked for fish and shrimp tacos, which are FOUR PLUS BUCKS EACH!!! EACH!!! They where wrong! I said-onion, tomatoes, easy lettuce & NO CILANTRO. My hubby do not like it. Guess what the tacos had on them: only onion and CILANTRO, ONLY-no tomatoes/no lettuce!!!!😡😡🤬🤬🤬 paying 4 plus bucks EACH, those tacos need to be perfect! However, they were NOT! I got carna asda tacos, rice and beans meal: (10 bucks) the refried beans tasted canned, with a few pieces of cheese, and the rice was dry, again the meat HORRIBLE; dry, tuff, flavorless and the tortillas were falling apart. The only thing on the taco worth talking about was the guac...it has a pretty good flavor. I wish I would have taken pictures.
I was so unhappy with this place, we are truckers and got back on the road and was too far out to take it back. I gave it two stars because the cashier was so sweet and pleasant! Other than that 😝😝👎🏿👎🏿👎🏿!!! The Taco Shop, epic fail! ...
Read moreThe Ramiro’s location by me use to be Los Betos. I live on the east side. I never had any issues before the change. It changed when the new team took over. Tonight I ordered a chicken quesadilla & a bottled Coke.
I was never told an amount total for my order, just simply to pull around to the window. I was not given a receipt. The drive thru employee mistakenly handed me a fountain Coke before I corrected her & she exchanged it for the bottle Coke. The Coke was “chilled” at best. I waited 10 minutes at the window.
When I got home, the quesadilla was of poor quality. The chicken was cubed & dry. The tortilla was not anything impressive, tasted almost undercooked & I wasn’t a fan.
I ended up looking at my bank statement for the charge. $17 for a crummy quesadilla & warm bottled Coke.
I won’t go back. It’s unfortunate that Ramiro’s has replaced Los Betos because even though it’s Mexican food, the product is...
