Freddy's Frozen Custard & Steakburgers — Restaurant in Tucson

First time at this place. Food was the same as any other Freddy's. Spent almost $80 just to get none of the sauces, went and asked for some, the lady gave me a dirty look, didn’t say anything and handed me 2 things of sauce for a bunch of food across 5 people. After we ate I asked for a water cup, nice cashier gave me a small cup and that’s fine. I noticed the same lady from before staring at me when I went to fill it with water. I drank all the water and went to fill it with lemonade, as I was still filling this small cup she came up behind me, snatched the cup out of my hand and threw it away. I walked back to the counter, she saw me and hid behind a wall from me. I asked for another water cup and said I’d fill it with water this time I already know your boss was watching me, cashier reached for an even smaller cup then before and the manager said no (yeah I asked for a water cup to not get only water I know) she had no reason grabbing stuff out of my hands. Beating my expectations at a fast food restaurant is such an odd thing to conceive. But Freddy's somehow did it. We were greeted by an assistant manager and manager that seemed genuinely interested in our comfort, the quality of our meals, and a want for us to just have a good time.

Customer service, especially in a fast food restaurant, is such a rare thing. It was such a delight to be treated so well.

I am a fan of fine dining on occasion and even at an expensive restaurant I don't usually get service as good as I had today at Freddy's. I know it sounds unbelievable but I dare you to go check them out and see for yourself.

update 2024-08-18: We went in for another visit. The assistant manager Shaun, once again, delighted us. He visited our table a few times and remembered us. I again appreciate being treated so well.

This is my third time eating here it is never super busy, which is what I like, and close to the century marketplace theater. Always clean inside and bright from large windows. Friendly staff they support military, but only on Monday's. This is, however, the first time that the gentleman that was cashier and hopefully was trained this way to up sell I get that, as was a district manager for a few years other places before moving here. I ordered a single burger as not a big eater anymore, here it comes you don't want that burger, our burger's our smashed really thin and you won't taste the meat. I will ring up a double and do you want a meal. Had he been listening, he would have heard my order when it was given. Instead, I need to upsell right away.
