First off I want to say that I was very impressed. I did not know to expect. I'm very particular about my salads and how they are prepared. I ordered a "build your own" salad and everything about the salad was beyond my expectations. The leaves were crunchy and fresh as well as the other toppings such as the cranberries and the different cheeses. I ordered chicken on top of my salad and the quality and freshness was great. The chicken was moist, well seasoned, and had a great texture. If you're wondering about the portions is it more than enough to eat for breakfast and for you to save some later for lunch or some other time in the day. As far as their beverages go it just kept getting better.i ordered a cold brew and it was fantastic. I would have to say the coffee was better than your local Starbucks or Dunkin. They also have organic coffee which is even better and healthier. Most places charge between 4 and 6 dollars for a organic cold brew and here it is only one dollar. It is sweet and not too bitter. Their lemonades are also very tasty. I have yet to try other items but I am a 100 percent certain I will be impressed and happy as usualy with all of...
Read moreEver since Salad and Go came to Tucson I've told everyone I know what a delicious, affordable and healthy option it is. I know salad doesn't have the best shelf life. BUT when your business is based on salad maybe you should check the quality before you give it to paying customers. We hadn't been to Salad and Go for a bit. Then I saw a big chunk of black slime (rotten lettuce) I removed that bit only to find an endless supply of more in our bowls. I had to riffle through, toss the rotten bits and wash all the salvageable lettuce. I just kept thinking...a burger wouldn't have done this to me. I told hubby it would've been easier for me to just skip dinner. Sigh. The pink lemonade was...
Read moreI went to place my usual order, a Greek salad with extra chicken. I noticed that there was a sign advertising their new rotisserie chicken as an option for no additional price, but I like their original chicken so I don’t order the rotisserie one. When I get my order, it’s the rotisserie chicken, which looks dry, full of gristle, and terrible. I tell the cashier that I didn’t want the rotisserie chicken and she proceeds to tell me that that’s the only chicken they have. If I had known that, I wouldn’t have ordered at all! I get it home and the chicken is just not very good. Why make it seem like you have a choice and then just decide for you? Bring back the original chicken please! I love your salads but I won’t be returning if the original chicken...
