A bit of a crappy experience today at S. Park, Costco in Tucson. Hubby brought in 5 tires from his utility trailer specifically to Costco because there is a big sign that states "free installation" at another Costco location. He chose his tire preference and the tech advise him it would be roughly $95 for installation. Hubby told tech the other Costco has a sign regarding free install. The tech said "yeah we don't do that." Hubby went to go shop while tires were installed. Later on he returned to get the tires. While at the counter he conversed with a lady that brought in a trailer tire too and the tech charged her installation fee as well. She went on to say "but that sign over there says free installation". My hubby hadn't seen that sign so he inquired and the tech said that there is an installation fee for utility trailer tires. Hubby asked why and tech said that tires are a "cash and carry" item. Hubby said, everything in Costco is cash and carry. Hubby went to speak with a main store manager and asked her if tire installation is free. She said "yes". He said "why am I being charged as is this lady here?" The auto dept. manager was brought into the conversation and the same question was posed again. The tire manager said we charge for utility tire install. Hubby said "Why" tire tech manager said because we have to take them off the rims and re-install them. Hubby pointed to a tech changing tires in a bay seen through a window and said "that tech is doing twice the duty for a free install fee on that truck....Tech is taking rims off, removing tires, putting tires on rim, then installing tires on the truck, I brought my tires to you. Tires off, tires on." "Your sign says free installation and no mention of utility tires exempt". The tire tech manager looked at the sign for a few moments, then after a brief discussion he refund my hubby his $95 and the lady her installation fee, then said "this will be a one time offer". My hubby told the manager and other main warehouse manager they need to change their sign then because it's false advertising. Then, a different bay worker rolled my hubby's tires out on an orange bed cart next to his truck and walked away. He did not offer to help. So my hubby loaded his tires and left the cart in front of the bay, where the bay worker initially left the flat bed cart. The bay worker got huffy and pushed the cart away. Ā Ā Ā Read moreCostco is one of my favorite stores and I always praise their excellent customer service and amazing products at great prices. However this was my first time at this specific Costco and I am extremely disappointed. This Costco fails to provide the quality of service other Costcos have proven to be excellent on. Now, when you walk out of Costco this is the only store I am ever willing to stop at the door and have an associate check my reciept. If this happens elsewhere I usually just walk out but itās a Costco tradition ever since the beginning so I respected that. However at this location on 12/7/23 approx 7:30pm, the line to exit the store went beyond the cash registers. They were checking every single item which is understandable at a quick glance, but no they were seriously checking everyone on every single item. Guess what. They forgot to scan my muffins out of a cart worth $500. They asked if I wanted to keep it. Of course I did thatās why I went shopping? They responded with attitude and screamed for a supervisor. I told them I was not going to walk all the way back to pay and to feel free to make me pay here. I was willing to pay but the store was so crowded and lines so long. He grabbed the muffins and scanned them at guest services for me to pay while telling people to HOLD UP? They wouldnāt let the line continue and people kept calling ābsā and made dirty looks at us because Costco failed to continue the line and wouldnāt let the line continue until I paid. Honestly they couldāve just put us aside and helped other customers as we were willing and happy to pay. Well I just went through the receipt again at home and they missed two more items proving this to be ineffective. I wasted 25 minutes to leave the store register to exit because they didnāt do their jobs. Disappointed. Next time my muffins will be free if they miss them again. They pretty much punished the customer for the...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreBeen a member for 5 yrs, usually have a great experience. However this recent experience was far from pleasant. As a mom of 2 kids, I donāt have the greatest bladder control. So while I was shopping I rushed to the restroom. My gf and son stayed outside the restroom about 30ft from the restroom with our grocery cart and the one $10 item we had in the cart, while I ran to the bathroom. Upon exiting the restroom, I realized a Costco employee named Jordyn had followed us all the way to the restroom and in a very rude tone Jordyn removed our one item from the cart and said they had to take the item because the cart was on the other side of the check out counter. Keep in mind, my gf and son were standing with the cart watching it AND The cart was like 30ft from the restroom and on the opposite side of the building from the exit. Anyone who has ever been to a Costco will know that the restroom is usually in the front of the store in a corner. Never once in all of my time with Costco have I been stalked by an employee and followed to a restroom. And then yelled at because I had an item in my cart while by the bathroom. I could understand if I had taken the cart in the restroom or even if the item was a high value item⦠but a $10 box of puree fruit pouches?!? After the absurd treatment, I was no longer interested in purchasing the item and will be removing my membership .The treatment I received from Costco leaves me with a gross feeling that they were border line accusing me off having the potential of being a thief. Do...
