I am so impressed with this little place hiding the most delicious food in room after room, with a spotless kitchen, and happy people making every plate with love, I want to tell YOU ALL about it! I want them to thrive in our Tucson town. They are on Ft Lowell Ave east of Tucson Blvd and most cars just whiz right by never imagining they just passed a treasure chest of wonders. Read moreI would like to have given Bodega five stars but, unfortunately, that was not my experience. This was a friend's & my first visit. Ambience was lovely walking into the store/cafe initially. We ordered lunch and while we were waiting for it I bought a cookbook. When lunch was served I was given a cup of soup with a tiny wheat roll on a dessert plate. My friend ordered a sandwich that included sweet potato fries with sauce, an herb side and pickle, a large meal. We paid the same price but were not given receipts. I ordered my items and they were delivered the very next day, which was a Saturday. This was a nice surprise. I ordered some precooked items: butterflied chicken (YUM), 4 tamales (super yum!), bario baguette, lemon curd, stuffed squash, and double check ranch shredded beef. I also ordered a few things to cook myself: Mahi Mahi, Ahi Tuna and a leg of lamb. I was even able to buy a bundle of fresh herbs and prickly pear syrup.
