This has always been one of my all-time favorite teahouses and is now my current favorite. I started coming here when the Social Security Administration Office of Disability Adjudication and Review moved their hearing office from the cubical federal building to the location off North Bonita Avenue. I have been going here for over half a decade. The staff is well informed and give good recommendations. One of the owners teaches tea culture (and has a YouTube channel to give you a taste, but it is better in person). There are sponsored tea lectures from time to time. They typically have a good selection of gong fu gear though that varies and until recently they have not typically carried smelling cup/drinking cup pairs (though I bought mine from here). There is a great selection of yixing pots and gaiwans. As my Instagram and Twitter feeds demonstrate, I have bought a lot of gaiwans and yixing pots here. Although limited (almost exclusively) to Chinese tea, they have a selection like no where else (though seems to be a move to expand to some high-end Indian tea and they have carried Japanese-style tea from China). My "cuppa" tea, 8 Immortals (å «ä») rock tea (岩č¶), comes from here; I always have some in stock at home. The most similar teahouse is in San Francisco (known as Roy Fong's Imperial Tea Court), but it pales in comparison to Seven Cups when last I was in the Ferry BuildingĀ in San Francisco. This is a place of calm and comfort worth returning to again and again. I used to go here after hearings when I flew in from California; now I go out of my way to drive about 2 hours to enjoy the comforts of this tea oasis. It remains a treasured after-hearing treat to this day (which is why pictures from this teahouse show up so often in tea and travel blog that is my Instagram account). Additionally, I have been introducing more and more friends to this teahouse. When I make a weekend trek to the teahouse, others have asked to come with me. One of them recently got a gaiwan at the recent gaiwan sale after I sold them on the practicality that is the gaiwan. This is the perfect place to taste the results of the sublime tea production mastery of a tea master who can manipulate the tea leaf itself (or who can scent the tea with other herbals without needing to include the herbals in the finished packaged tea) to create novel tea favor experiences. This is a treasured place that I would highly...

Ā Ā Ā Read moreI cannot write enough about this delightful tea house and the wonderful crew within! I was first introduced to Seven Cups Fine Chinese Teas back when I was still a student at the UofA. I enjoyed tea, but never had thought much about the people behind the creation and distribution behind teas. Since returning to Tucson, I have taken more time to expand my tea palate as well as knowledge. This is the place to do exactly that!
The care, love, and enthusiasm of the team at this amazing tea house is unmatched. All are very gracious hosts and readily impart knowledge and recommendations for the inquiring mind. The new tea house is quaint and cozy and is the perfect place to enjoy a cup of teaā¦or Seven!
I have learned about things such as subtle flavors, but also about the overwhelming history, origin, and the people who make tea their living.
At this time, I have a tea cabinet bursting with the delicious teas that have been lovingly curated by Seven Cups, each with their own characteristics and stories.
I would encourage folks to take the time to swing by and enjoy delectable teas in a lovely atmosphere, all while supporting a local...
