I love love love this place. I’ve only ever gotten the cold bowls and I got a hot bowl today and it was the best hot bowl i’ve had in town from anywhere. My only bad experience frequently is with one female worker there, usually it’s okay enough that it doesn’t bother me but today took me over the edge. As someone who also works in customer service, I understand some frustration but my friend and I felt very disrespected today over simple requests. Firstly, it just seemed like she was not listening everytime she asked us something, I asked for LIGHT spicy mayo, she proceeded to give me EXTRA, literally drenched my bowl in it. I was hungry and on a quick break from work so I lived with it and moved on. My friend asked “I don’t know if they put the crispy onions…” (she didn’t put any in mine even though I asked) and before she could finish talking she took a handful and filled literally half of her bowl with crispy onions as if to shut her up. Then she asked us if we wanted bags, we responded and she again wasn’t listening and raised her voice “YES OR NO BAG”. No “thank you”, no “see you later”, no response to anything we would say to her. Like I said, I let a lot slide and have a lot of empathy for customer service workers but today was a lot, making us not want to come in anytime soon despite how much we love the food from here. Everyone else is always amazing in customer service! I wish I could give a tip but I can’t when I don’t feel heard for...

I will preface this by saying that I did enjoy my meal — a regular-sized poke bowl. The portions are decent but you are definitely paying a bit of a premium for it. Nonetheless, the food was as expected. My main problem is with the service. Staff is badly in need of customer service training. I was “helped” by the dark-haired female employee who wore a very long braid facing towards the toppings bar (not food service friendly by the way, major health hazard) and she was extremely rude to me right off the bat. Her tone was horrible. There was not a line so I don’t know what inspired her abhorrent behavior but she needs to be retrained or let go. I was polite throughout the whole process and did not engage with her aside from paying and putting my to-go order together. I work in the service industry so I know how it is, there’s no excuse for that kind of behavior. I was actually shocked by her attitude, it was hard to hold my tongue. When everything was said and done she very unceremoniously threw my food container up on the counter and walked away. Extremely bad experience for me, enough to discourage me from...

Okay, so Pita and Poke don’t seem like good roommates. And I’ll admit to some hesitancy when we pulled into the parking lot at a strip mall. Hmmm, fresh raw fish at a Subway looking restaurant? But we were hungry so we forged ahead! Well, first impressions were dead wrong this time. I ordered a two protein Poke bowl. There are tons of combinations, and you get to decide what you want. I had the raw tuna and cooked shrimp. For the bowl, I had half salad and half brown rice. Then I topped it with tons of fresh veges. The avocado was spot on – just the right ripeness! And finally a swirl of their house dressing. I pretty much devoured the entire bowl! Next time I’d probably skip the shrimp. It was cooked fine it just had no seasoning. My spouse ordered the Hercules. It is a pita on steroids with freshly grilled chicken, pita meat, greens, grilled vegetables, banana pepper, feta, tzatziki and a special sauce. It was huge but he almost finished it all. Very impressed with the freshness and taste of both dishes. The only thing missing was an ice cold brewsky! Most...
