Kneller’s was a wonderful spot for a breakfast bagel and more. We enjoyed the Garden and Egg and the Lox Tar Tar bagels. Both were super tasty. The staff were friendly and helpful. They have a great assortment of to-go salads, lox, and pickles in their deli case. The harissa carrots are a must. We had a great experience and are happy to support a new local business! Just a word to those perusing the less than favorable reviews, those who left those reviews, and those who intend to leave poor reviews - go with grace, patience, and kindness. It’s challenging to open a restaurant, especially in our current economic climate. The first few weeks of any business opening can be a little chaotic and usually have some unanticipated missteps. These missteps are opportunities for growth. It’s best to share those experiences with staff and managers first so they have the chance to do right by you and learn how to do better for future customers. That’s far more helpful than leaving one star “reviews” (complaints) without affording the opportunity for correction by management. It’s more helpful to know how a new business responded to/attempted to correct inevitable mistakes (we’re all human - they’re going to happen) and customer grievances than to first and only bring the issues here and rate a business low (which can impact their future success and the livelihoods of their staff). Congrats on a successful transition to your brick and mortar spot! We’ll be back again and again!

Kneller’s has the vibe of a classic Northeast deli. You take a number, wait your turn, then order. If that’s not what you’re used to, give it a try. It’s part of the charm. On my first visit, I had the matzah ball soup and a knish. Both were excellent. The food is legit, the staff is super friendly, and the place has a lot of heart. It may not be an exact replica of a New York or Philly deli, but it already feels authentic in its own way. For fellow Northeast folks missing a taste of home (I’m from Jersey), keep in mind they’re still getting started. I’m hoping the menu expands to include more staples like pork roll (yes, Taylor ham) and pastrami on rye. Even as it stands, Kneller’s is a special place and a much-needed addition to Tucson. Don’t let the little differences stop you from enjoying a great meal.

Not a real Jewish deli and they have no idea what they are doing ! I’m from Brooklyn and no way is this a deli or that they know how to cook. People here don’t know better unless you are from or lived in NYC I Ordered a brisket sandwich at noon. That’s all I ordered.we were Served at 12:27 and it was a horrible uneditable sandwich ! 1 slice of fatty chewy piece of brisket between 2 slices of bread with chunks of pickles that weren’t good with mustard. Don’t waste your time here. I would give this place a zero! I couldn’t chew the piece of meat and then the rest had chunks of fat. So I ate a slice of bread All for $26!!! In New York or anywhere on east coast a sandwich had layers of tender meat not one slice! If he were in NYC they’d throw the sandwich back at him Attitude as well

THE DELICATESSEN TUCSON DESERVES---

I'll be perfectly honest.

Ive been meaning to come here for weeks, maybe even months. But today, the universe put me in the right place at the right time.

And as I drove down speedway soaking in all the sites, bam, Knellers in the peripheral view. 2 U turns later I was safely inside.

I had one goal with my order... Taste many things!

I started with the best New York hotdog I've had in Tucson. And I'm not stranger to the glizzy! So yes, order the hotdog as it is. The way nature intended.

Moving on.

The Le Bourdain. Just order it. Thank me later. And mention it when you leave your 5 star review.

Buttery roll, melty provolone, savory mortadella with the a scrambled egg.

You know how they say "the devil is in the details" ... This simple sandwich is made for the heavens.

Next, an everything bagel with lox, capers, tomatoes, and red onion. The bean and cheese burrito of delicatessen. A staple. If you can make a good one, you'll be in great shape.

This however, was flavor and texture coming together in ways only a Eutopian society can truly appreciate.

For real, my wife and I chuckled to each other as we both stared at our final bites, eyes half open, shoulders raised while gently releasing a long peaceful MMMMMMMMmmmmm...

Food has always been a great thing to gather around with people. To catch up over coffee, to laugh together, and to heal over a snack or a meal (rhyme alert)

Let Knellers be that for you.

We are sold. We are fans!

Try Tucsons best deli soon. Like if you read this, you should be going right after I'm done with my rant

That being said.

End...

No corn beef. No pastrami. They make their own and were a week away from the next batch being ready. A real bummer since a buddy and I drove over an hour to get there.

Otherwise good deli choices, including brisket and egg on fresh bagel which I really enjoyed. I got a fresh sesame seed bagel with cream cheese with scallions, to go. Very fresh from a nearby bagel shop. Had it with my wife as breakfast the next morning and wow, was in good. They were out of several bagel choices but I chalk this up to learning about their new business.

This place is brand new (open only a few days when we were there) and yet quite busy. A very steady stream of deli fans like us (my buddy a Jew from NYC and me a gentile fanboy from Chicago). Over 50% take out though the light, bright, sparkling clean seating area, about a dozen tables, was allmost full too when we arrived at about 11 AM on a Thursday.

BTW, their corn beef and pastrami can be purchased in bulk.

We will be back but as the order taker behind the counter suggested, "call first".

Quick update a few months later: they have corn beef today and it was excellent! They told me they still sell out.

I had the Reuben on (just out of the oven) rye bread. Awesome! Though I had to get a to-go box as I could only eat half. Also took home half of my everything bagel. Is this this perfect bagel? Yup!

Wish they were open...
