La Palma Tortilla Factory — Restaurant in Tucson

I've loved the food at Las Palmas for a long time and eaten there for years. Unfortunately, food quality and portions have dropped significantly recently. I went a couple days ago and got a large cross section of their food to include the Chile Colorado (ok, not not like it used to be, very dry not much sauce), refried beans (again ok, but nothing special, salty and not much flavor, generic tasting) corn and flour tortillas (these are still good but they had very limited size options), 1/2 dozen tamws (literally the worst I've ever had. Dry, all masa, almost no filling. Overall made my mouth sad and they are the reason I am writing this review.), empanadas (pumpkin flavor was good, strawberry not great, very little filling in either flavor), and day old chocolate chip cookies (the best thing I bought, both soft and crispy, perfect sweetness). I am saddened to see another local favorite go the way of so many others- cutting corners at the expense of quality and taste. Purchase pastries big mistake one of the pastries was hard as a rock tried a second pastrie a cochito bit into it had a hair was charged for a apple turnover that was not given called all week to speak to the owner manager according to the staff was not in called Saturday because she's there all day her staff said she was to busy to talk to me but she wasn't busy to take my money the food and the pastries were horrible and a big disappointment we had been customers for many years not any more I even saved the pastry with the hair in case she wouldn't believe me so the next time you buy food make sure it's not old or that the pastries don't have hair and the menudo she claims is fresh what she doesn't sell on Sunday is frozen and you buy it the following weekend so beware I rate La Palma bakery thumbs down will never buy anything...

Stopped after church for lunch ordered 2 red chili burritos and wanted to eat there they have a small table and chairs we were told we couldn't so we went to eat at the park 5 min away we started to eat them the meat was cold the tortilla started breaking as if it's old I called to complain and the lady asked me how far were we I told her we're at the park she told me bring it back so we can warm them up they were about to close.
