I’ve been going to Little Anthony’s since 2016 especially during their car show days with those being my main reason to partake in the 50 minute drive it takes me to get there to where I live I’ve been fairly indecisive about if I should continue to eat here when I attend said car show as their morning staff service and food quality have been pretty poor the last few times I’ve gone (I had to use a knife like a hacksaw to cut through rubbery chicken fried steak) but I was holding any judgement until I went to a night show as they had consistent food and service… until tonight, as tonight was this years first night show of the season so I made the trek to Little Anthony’s picking up my girlfriend who has never been to Little Anthony’s so I can show her this place I enjoy showing my car at so I arrive at the show I set up my car for the show and get a table at the diner the inside was packed full but the hostesses said that the counter was open but neglected to mention that the outside seating had multiple tables open it was only after I put my name down for the inside seating and started walking outside I realized and when I tried getting one of those they claimed it would be “5-10” minutes even though the party who was at the hostess stand behind me was getting seated in said area but after pointing out the amount of tables that were open I was seated there but I know how busy this show gets I wasn’t too upset things start to flow fairly decently at first as we got our drinks and ordered an appetizer as I had a friend who I haven’t in a bit little behind but when the appetizer came out about 2 or 3 minutes the waitress was wondering if we were ready to order before we were able to dig into our appetizer I told her that my girlfriend is still looking and I waiting for someone still and that was a big mistake as I then spent the next 40 minutes without having the waitress checking in at us at all at the my friend shows up she’s ready to take care of us we then preceded to spend another 40 minutes in-between ordering our food and the next time we were checked in on service was on point again as we ordered shakes and they came out in a timely manner after getting the check I wasn’t able to justify wasting a beautiful car show night anymore and checked out up front myself with one of the other waitresses alongside getting to go drinks to enjoy at the show I then proceeded to try to salvage the time I had left showing off my car usually I’d take photos of the show and upload them to my Facebook page but because I had already lost soooooo much time I had only like an hour and 15 minutes of the show left so I just went back to my car with my party and tried to make the most out of it considering the hour long drive I had to make to get back home the food and service of this place used to be the thing I’d look forward to everyday in the lead up to this show as it was good reasonably priced food and at least tonight’s meal was better than their breakfasts just...
Read moreMy sister gave us AZ bucket list scratch off cards for Christmas… and those led us to Little Anthony’s. We love a couple hours away but saw online that on Saturday’s Marilyn & Elvis did entertainment. We called to make reservations. We were on hold for 9 minutes while the girl “confirmed with the manager about taking our reservation”. She eventually confirmed and we had a table at 7pm. Arriving about 30 minutes early, we tried to check in with the hostess—- they did not have our reservation. We were a little surprised after the two hour drive and 10 minute call… the manager was called out and was extremely rude. She quickly snarked that “they don’t take same day reservations… they were booked weeks in advance” she said the best she could do is “put us on a list and we could wait 1-2 hours. I showed the previous calls on my phone that was time stamped and displayed the length of the call… but she just acted like we were lying about calling ahead. One waitress came over and began to try to work us into one of her tables… she asked us to wait 15 minutes and she would get us seated. We walked outside the door to wait… 20 minutes later someone came out and asked how many in our party—2 —- it had always been just two. They laughed and said, “we thought you had a big party… we could have seated you a long time ago”.
I will say that our food was fantastic and the banana split was out of this world… and the only reason I am giving more than one star.
The idea of this diner is a great one, but the performers were a stretch at best (although very talented… they were no Marilyn and Elvis)… service was below average and even the atmosphere felt forced and awkward. I had felt disrespected and mistreated as a customer from the start… on what we had hoped would be a great “date night bucket list”- I would not recommend for any special occasion, and would never suggest trying to just pop in when they are busy… this place is not in the market for making people...

We were pleasantly surprised with the amazingness of this gem. Good fresh food, huge portions, and amazing service! Oh and amazing prices! Meals and drinks for three with dessert...$40 dollars. WOW.
First, our food was delicious. Husband had the Dad's Favorite burger, I had the California Burger and my child had a small cheese pizza. We finished our meals off with dessert...the World's Smallest Sundaes....which are far from the smallest...unless your talking about the price. $1.29 for great tasting sundaes...which are by far bigger than a scoop.
The burgers were huge and tasty. When I say huge I mean they dont skimp on the burger patty! The California includes avocado and they dont skimp on that either. My burger easily had half an avocado on it.
The pizza was just as yummy. Even the plain cheese was flavorful.
Our service experience here restored my faith that some places still just do it right. Our server was extremely attentive as were the other servers, and the busboy....who deserves a raise! They kept our table clean of dishes and napkins throughout the meal. Just when I thought the service couldn't be any better...as we were leaving the busboy asked if we wanted drinks to go. Did I mention that was NO Charge? Lastly, we were thanked for our business by several of the staff as we approached the doors to leave.
This place by far deserves more than a 5 star rating! To the owner's, managers, and staff...keep up the GREAT work!
We will not only frequent here, but will highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a good place to...
