HUGE…..Thank you to Katy. After we drove all the way out here to Tucson, Arizona from Nebraska and Missouri to move our mom to live with my sister in Missouri, someone had accidentally in the moving process thrown out the garbage bag that had all of our Mom’s meds in it. We panicked this morning and we jumped in the truck in our pajamas, with nothing but our phone and keys drove over to the old apartment and dumpster dove for a half hour to find the bag of meds. Unfortunately, somebody had found that bag and taken it out of the dumpster before we got there. Our next stop was this Starbucks. We told her our story as we’re apologizing for our rough appearance and standing there in our pajamas, getting our first and very strong cup of coffee for the day before returning defeated to get our showers and go to church. We explain to her what happened and told her about our morning of chaos. We observed as other attendants approached her with issues and she handled them with kindness and ease and professionalism. Then I asked her if they had tap pay because I didn’t even grab my wallet with my cards and license in it before leaving this morning, and she said don’t worry about it, I bought your coffee, have a safe trip. That moment of sunshine and kindness made our morning Along, of course, with the much needed strong coffee. While we were adding our sugar and cream to our coffee, we also observed her doing many other things for other customers, and her demeanor and pleasantries was a breath of fresh air. Amen. She is a blessing to have running your store, she deserves a raise, she earns it for you every day. Thank you, thank...
Read moreThis Starbucks is VERY busy, and most of the time too (from what I have seen first-hand). While there was no one in line waiting to order, it took about 5 minutes for someone to offer to take our order. I ordered a drink for my daughter, then the person who took our order just walked away before I could pay her (but I think it was her attempt at multitasking). Someone else came back about 3-4 minutes later asking to take my order. I told her I was waiting to pay. I paid, gave the name and went to wait for them to make the order. There was about 5-6 people/parties waiting for their orders as well and 2-3 more people came in to order while the drive thru line was wrapped around the building and mobile orders were coming in too. I will say this; EVERYONE was working (about 8 employees) all helping each other, mind you, and working well as a team to fill order, wether they took the order or not). There were just too many people queued for orders/waiting for orders than this place was equipped to deal with (in my opinion). The location of this Starbucks is a high volume location, it should be bigger and with additional support staff/employees to handle such demand. Anyways long review I know but needed to be said. To continue, my daughter and I waited an additional 30 minutes for her frappuccino, a total of about 45 minutes for 1 small, frozen coffee drink. I think the staff did great with what was provided for them to use but I blame the person in charge of the business, whomever that may be. They need to provide better for their employees to keep up with how high the demand is at...
Read moreTo update, the last two mornings we visited, while still very early, the staff was attentive and we got strong, hot coffee. The hateful young woman mentioned below didn't speak, but she didn't wait on us either. She really needs a different job. To sum up the 5 days we visited this store before 6 AM, and some mornings at a time earlier, the last two were good. However, the first ones rated like this:
Besides some airport Starbucks: this is the WORST Starbucks we have ever visited, and we've visited Starbucks up and down the east coast, and from shore to shore. In past years, the service has been good. However this year (for 3 days in a row) the store has been: -dirty, -the coffee: tepid, -the staff: generally unfriendly. This morning, Sunday, very early, the female cashier handed us our breakfast foods without a bag. When we asked for one for our "to go" order she said they were "out" of to go bags. She was rude and dressed inappropriately. -There was no cream on the kiosk. When we asked the young man who was working the drive thru window for cream, he got the carafe and also gave us the "to go" bag. So, they weren't out of bags....Not sure what the female cashier's problem was or is, but her attitude and spirit are unlike that of anywhere we have visited in the Tucson area....as well as that of the Starbucks brand.
As I said, we have been there very early; there is no reason for the store to be messy, the coffee barely warm, the kiosk not properly stocked, and the employees to be rude... especially when the store has only been open1/2 to...
