My husband is of Cantonese descent and was seriously jonesing for an old fashioned Chinese New Year dinner. Out of desperation we stopped at The Bamboo Terrace for dinner. Started with egg flower soup, a version of egg drop soup. It was thick and heavy with egg and vegetables, with a rich chicken broth. Chicken lo mein, by which my husband judges all chinese restaurants, had the plumpest noodles, tenderest chicken and a smokey sauce. Egg foo young was hard to pass up even though it took extra time to make. It tasted even better for breakfast the next day. Curry chicken was also satisfying. Be aware, the veggies in all 3 of our dishes looked like the frozen bags of mixed carrots & peas from the supermarket. UPDATE: Tried chicken lo mein and veg mu shu which with 4 wraps. Husband declared lo mein best west of the Mississippi. Mu shu was juicy, smokey, and big portion. Made 4 grande wraps and still had leftover veg.

I ordered the cashew chicken. The sauce was good and the chicken was juicy and cut easily. They were mostly bites sized pieces. They gave a generous amount of rice. My fiance got the beef & broccoli. He really liked it. He also got chicken lo mein. The noodles were good and the flavor was really good, though he said the chicken was only ok. He was impressed overall. We also got the crab rangoons for appetizer, they were good. The service was great. She was friendly and attentive. She even packed up out leftovers for us and spared us making a mess. We enjoyed dinner. We will definitely be back when we're on that side of town.

Every time I order from this place which is the 2nd time out of 3 times I say to myself why did you order from this place. simple instructions sauce on the side totally ignored( I should be grateful at least I got the sauce this time the last time I didn't get the sauce) and then to add insult to injury the egg foo young was not even cooked through the middle is raw. 2. A Spring roll is a Spring roll not an egg roll. I once again for the price of over $40 extremely disappointed I'm writing this review to remind myself not to order from bamboo terrace again.

Id like to give no stars but unfortunately they dont have that option. Be aware that their menu online does not have any prices..NOW and i say now because two days ago it did have prices on it when i ordered my food but i got charged completely different prices then from the menu online. And when the manager called me back the day after i made my complaint the websites menu magically didnt have any prices on it and they would only honor in house prices which are unknown as well because the new menu has no pricing on it. I even have proof of date and time of when i downloaded the pdf file menu from one day to the next and they still wouldnt refund me the difference in pricing which was around $10 and i mean its not alot of money but its the principal of them being shady with their menu. And when i made the complaint the staff member said they were aware that the menu online was different from the in house one but when i spoke to the manager she made it sound like the menu had always been that way online and they had no access to the website to change it. So with that being said i made a complaint to my bank to get my refund that way and unlike bamboo terrace , my bank didnt want to have an unhappy customer over such a small amount( their words to be exact) so atleast someone knows how to run a business and i will not ever be returning...

Years ago my family went there all the time. We would actually drive an hour and a half believe it or not to eat their. Every Sunday or Saturday we were there as a family. It was the most fabulous food I've ever had in the service what's phenomenal we always started out with soup. I had the egg drop soup in our family had the sweet and sour. Then came the enormous place of wonderful, and delicious food. We noticed that the servings had gone down after covid and the prices went up we didn't go for a while and really missed it and thought we would try again we got takeout this time and the servings were even smaller yet our food arrived in tiny containers before when we had food leftovers after eating our food could not even fit in one container after eating and now you get it in one container I called the restaurant and talked to the manager and she said that they would give us a $10 credit if we would try them again and I said no we're not I think if enough people complain maybe they'll bring back their...

Ordered take out. Have been looking forward to Chinese for MONTHS. Got our usual. General tso, pork fried rice, veg chow mein, and egg rolls. Oh. My. God. I have never had such disgusting food in my life, well. I take that back. There was a Chinese restaurant in milwaukie, OR. that served cat and said it was chicken. This was about equal. The general was tough. Not even dry chicken. Some meat I've never had, plus the taste was unimaginable. The pork fried rice. Dry and had a funk taste to it. Chow mein. Runny like snot. And no flavor. I will however say. The egg rolls were not that bad. Could have been that I dipped them in the hot mustard (which was spot on). I was gravely disappointed. Not sure how they got almost 5 stars. I guess if you had been trapped in the desert for a week and that was your only food option. I think I'd rather eat sand. Oh. I forgot. Also got those bbq pork slabs. Like chewing on a dry, slimy overcooked piece of whatever. Had to spit them...
