Wendy's — Restaurant in Tucson

Wendy's shares the parking lot with a closed K-Mart. The old K-Mart sign is easier to locate when approaching; but then, you'll see the Wendy's sign. Easy access handicapped parking is available by the doors for specialized vans & family sized vehicles. There is available lot space for large vehicle and truck & trailer parking.

Entering the parking lot can be done from Kolb or Broadway. If you enter from Kolb, you can maneuver through the old K-Mart lot. The space lines are faded, cart corrals are still present and so are the concrete space markers; so, keep that in mind when navigating the parking lot. I'm sorry, I don't know what the concrete things are called.

Be careful when entering from Broadway. For some reason, quite a few people used the entrance to exit the lot. Lastly regarding the parking, at night I've noticed that the street lights aren't as bright as other places, just something to keep in mind.

OK. On to the inside:

I arrived at around 1:30 and, though they were busy, the restaurant, tables & chairs were clean. The cashier/expediter remained very pleasant & helpful in spite of people being impatient & rude at times, even though the orders were coming out in a timely manner. This particular Wendy's offers app/mobile order pick-up. I'm not sure if they all currently offer this service; however, this store did quite well managing the mobile, drive-thru & dine in orders. For mobile/drive-thru orders, you'll need to request to go packets of ketchup or any other sauces.

I strongly suggest, if your burger is a special order IE no cheese, mustard, etc., you clearly specify your request. I made the mistake of not clearly stating that I didn't want cheese and well, there was cheese on my burger. I still give them 5 stars because I know I have to be specific anytime I order at Wendy's, this mistake was entirely mine.

There are restrooms inside; while I didn't use them this time, they've always been clean when I have in the past. They also have high chairs; however, I didn't notice if they had booster seats.

I was craving a chocolate frosty and decided to go before they closed. I got there a couple minutes after 11pm. When I pulled up all the lights in the dining room were off and the only lights that were on were in the kitchen. The place looked completely closed. I almost drove away but then decided to go to the drive thru just in case. A girl took my order and she was polite so no issues there. I thought it was a little weird cause there were 2 employees just sitting outside to the right of the menu sign and once they saw me they jumped up and went inside, but they could have been on break so still not a problem. When I got to the window and paid $4.12 for a large frosty the girl handed me this small little cup. I thought maybe she made a mistake so I asked about it. She said this is their large...I was in disbelief. The last time I got a large it was closer to 40oz now it's half the size? Either that or she purposely gave me a smaller cup. I got home and decided to measure out the cup myself and tomorrow I'm going back to verify I actually got the large I paid for. I measured it out and the cup held 16oz....I'm pretty sure that's not a large. So when I go tomorrow and ask to see the cups and if the large is bigger then that means this girl lied straight to my face and purposely ripped me off. Stealing my money and pocketing it I guess? Idk. I hope I'm wrong but I honestly won't be surprised...

This review is honestly soooo overdue! I wish I knew everyone's name to shout you all out! And I of course lost the receipt. But Lisa and Cathy are so nice, helpful, and professional..I could go on and on because this isn't just a sometimes thing. The entire crew is just a vibe. They are helpful, always eager to jump in to assist a coworker, without ever being asked or directed to. We have never once had a bad meal. You can tell how well they work together as a team. I would only apply to work at this location if and only if you're freaking awesome with an excellent work ethic! The food is always fresh. And correct. I've never heard even one complaint from any of the guests and this is the only Wendy's we will go to! I've gone to Wendy's all over the US and hands down we will never eat at any other Wendy's because frankly I don't seek disappointment. And last but not least. Everyone should know this location, staff, food, how clean it is...yes even the bathrooms! Not just upper management. Not just corporate. You guys are an awesome well oiled machine. That I know will never be a disappointment. I could never say enough good about...
