Sonic Drive-In — Restaurant in Tulare

My friends and I went for drinks, 3 cars parked in a row. Mine in the middle. I was paying for drinks so I got everyone's order and called it in. Worker(1) came out to give us the drinks, but refused to hand the drinks to the cars/people next to me. Said he had to hand them to me because I paid for them or something along that line. I had to get out of the car, have Worker(1) hand me the drink, and then give my friends their drinks. About 2 minutes later, Worker(2) comes out and tells my friends they have to leave and let paying customers park. (There were lots of spaces people could park in) I let him know that I had paid for their drinks and we are paying customers. The guy told me I needed to mind my own business and that he wasn't talking to me because I ordered a lot. Arguing started and Worker(1) had to come out and explained to Worker(2) that I paid for their drinks. Worker(2) then decided I hadn't spent enough for us to stay 2-5 minutes and said we all needed to leave. No apology. 9 guys going out for drinks is too much to ask for. Abysmal. Avoid at all costs. The "drive in" is a one-lane path that services not only both sides of the restaurant, but also the drive through line. It took us ten minutes to get our car in, and ten minutes to get it out because there was a line of cars waiting for the drive thru window blocking the path of the cars trying to exit their drive-up parking spots. Horrible design for a "drive-in". Not only that, but from the time we ordered to the time we received our food took over 30 minutes; and that's because our drive-up screen said the food was coming, and it never did. So I went to ask the kid working inside about it and he said he'd check on it. I saw them scrambling to put our order together AFTER all of this, and then bring it out to us. There were maybe 4 teenagers working inside to service a dozen or more cars in the parking lot. Horrible. Oh, and no public restroom. Go to Taco Bell or heck, go buy ground beef and a charcoal grill, and cook for yourself in the parking lot! It'll still be faster and more convenient. Will never be...

This has to be my worst experience here yet. Besides the typical slow inaccurate service, I was either lied to or dealt with an incompetent employee. Pictured here is the order asvI described it. Yet I was charged $14 and change. When I get my first item it is a small drink. I had previously didn't accept the receipt so I asked if I was charged for a S or M. The clerk points to the receipt and declares I was charged for a S. So I accept and continue. When I am handed my food bag there are only two items. Do I reiterate that I had ordered Jalapeno Poppers, and ask if I had been charged. Again the clerk checks the receipt and says I was not. So this whole thing feels off but I am in a hurry and leave. Only receiving the burger, a drink, and regular popcorn chicken. So since I was shorted food I give up my burger for my son. After I complete my three hour journey I check online to verify my purchase. Based on the items I received I should have only been charged $8 something.
