Tacos Los Pericos — Restaurant in Tulare

This was my first and last time eating at this establishment. I was very disappointed with the slow service and the treatment I received when I sent my order back. I ordered an asada torta. The meat was half burned and tasted dry. I politely asked if they could remake my food. The server took my plate back to the cook and the cook said I still had to pay for my initial plate because I had taken a bite into it. I took one bite of the plate and didn’t eat more of it. I asked to speak with the manager/cook and was told she was too busy to talk to me. After I insisted she speak to me she angerly brought me another plate of food and said I was going to pay for both plates. I rejected and told her that I had taken one bite and it was unfair to make me pay for it because I was unhappy with my order. The rest of the service was terrible because the waitress took the entire ordeal personal and failed to follow up and ask if we needed anything else or how our meal was. Mexican restaurant in a strip mall complex. Came here for dinner around 6:30pm and there was plenty of seating. We had the grande carne asada fries and a la carte tacos. Alcohol is not available for purchase. Credit cards are accepted. After you eat, you go up to the counter to pay. Complimentary chips and salsa are provided. They have two single occupant restrooms. Plenty of parking available. The carne asada was plentiful but the fries were soggy and there was too much sour cream. They’re good is honestly very good. But thereis horrible customer service. We were trying to dine outside and did not get offered any service by any of the 4 waitresses there. So we decided to go up and order ourselves, which isn’t that big of deal. When our food was brought out they got it wrong and the original lady that took the order cake out to tell me I never told her plain tacos.
