Though many are familiar with Bar Serra, I was surprised at how much charisma it has. I made lunch plans with a buddy on April 17th around 12:30pm and couldn't think of a better place to try.

As my first time at Bar Serra, I was instantly impressed with the comfort and welcoming aura. The entire restaurant is insanely appealing. The exterior is entirely glass (ceilings & doors) and decorated in flowers. There are various styles of seating from booths, high-tops and tables, and there's even modern string lighting. I was impressed with the size of the place. It was deceptively roomier than you'd assume and each table had adequate space in between with appropriate walkways. I entered on the North side of the restaurant. It was a busy hour so there wasn't a host at the podium but it one soon arrived. I was led to a booth around the corner near the restroom across from the bar. The host arrived with water and lunch menus. My friend arrived about 10mins after. The food options were appealing but intentionally meant for a classier crowd and that's reflected by the price. Along with a classic mojito, I ordered the Hot Honey Chicken Sandwich, it comes with "fries" which are large diced fried potatoes. I believe my friend had the Burrata which came on a bowl-type plate. Unfortunately we spilled a water before the food arrived but it came out in less than 10mins after ordering. I really enjoyed the chicken sandwich, the breast itself was juicy in the middle and crispy on the edges of the sandwich. I was surprised that the number of vegetables on the sandwich wasn't overwhelming, well-balanced with the dressing used. The "fries" were good, perhaps overly crispy and used salt+pepper, but decent with ketchup and/or condiments. We were served by the bartender who, considering that she was behind the bar, was attentive and stepped out a few times to check in.

Overall, I was satisfied with my first Bar Serra experience. It's is an atmospheric treat that brings delight to guests. The interior is exquisite, the drinks are classy and the food presents as equally upscale. Though Bar Sera is more expensive than many other eateries in Tulsa, you feel the value upon your visit and it makes for an excellent location for a...

Update, gave it another try. The Hummus was like broken? Oily with chunks that slid off of tue veggies

And all of the employees were chilling in the tiny little back room, VAPING, using their phones, and not washing their hands before making a drink, or putting a lemon/lime slice on cups. I saw people get sat and waiting about 5 minutes before the server left their little break area to take an order just to go back and hang out again.

This place is WILD. Way overstaffed, bad hygiene, and breaking laws in a kitchen. wild

Food- we had the starter potatoes and it was pretty bland. Needed salt and it took like 15 minutes for someone to stop by so we could ask for ranch. My margaritas were great.

Service- probably honestly the worst service I've had since moving to Tulsa last October. Beyond ignored, the servers and other staff walking by would literally avert their eyes when walking by our table. We had to stop someone to ask for ranch, we never got a chance to order a salad because after I got my second drink no one made eye contact until they came over with the bill. It wasn't due to staffing shortage, there were at least 5 staff and only a few tables with patrons. We were right by the door to the back of house and they seemed to be catching up before shift change more than anything.

Atmosphere- cute! I assumed there would be more live plants due to it being a "greenhouse" aesthetic but they only had a few live plants and the rest were fake.

Overall- cute. Over rated. I would only go back to kick it during a rain or snow storm because I bet it'd be gorgeous, but I'd be scared to order again because if it was any busier than today I'd be petrified of being trapped until I hunt down someone to...

Husband and I ate here last week for my birthday lunch. I had salmon and roasted vegetables. The salmon was clearly from a box and barely heated. No salmon or tartar sauce was offered. It was absolutely terrible. The 'roasted' vegetables consisted of raw radishes, cauliflower, & whole carrots but they were so hard I couldn't eat them because they weren't cooked. Perhaps the cook forgot to turn the 'roaster' on. No drink refills were offered and server did not come back to the table so we could ask for them. Had to hunt down someone to get our ticket. I have read other reviews for the same issue's. This is clearly a training issue from management which simply replies with 'contact us so we can make this right and you can give us another chance'. How about you train your employees? Management .... when you hire a new server the best thing you can do is invite the server to have a hot lunch with you but without anything to drink so when they serve a hot meal to customer's they will remember that they had to eat that meal with nothing to drink. And customers should not have to ask for their ticket or flag down waitstaff walking by to get their ticket. When plates are nearly empty the ticket should be brought promptly to the table then waitstaff needs to check back to run payment or offer change if paying with cash especially during lunch as people have to get back to work. I've worked in food service for 37 years and am appalled at the lack of training provided to servers. Also .... with all the glass and ceramic tile this restaurant is so noisy you cannot hear the person next to you so don't go expecting to be able to have a conversation...

Pros: I loved Bar Serra’s atmosphere! The glass ceiling and flowers were stunning, which is why we chose to try it! Super cute spot and nice for pictures. The presentation of the food was also great! Cons: The table we sat at had chairs with little holes in them. Cute chair style, but there was old, crusty food stuck in every hole. Kinda gross. The food looked wayyyy better than it tasted. The Mediterranean Bowl was decent! However, the breading on the Crispy Chicken Sandwich was thick, dry, and hardly attached to the chicken. It was as if the chicken could slip right out of the breading. One half of the chicken sandwich we ordered looked pink in the center… We lost our appetite after that. This place has so much potential, but the food was just not good.
