I work nearby to this place and had been thinking about going by for lunch. Today I went in and ordered a chef salad with ranch,to go. It is noon, with a line at the drive thru. I walk in only 2 customers infront of me. I order my lunch and wait in line for anywhere between 5-10 minutes. The cashier that was originally cashing people out answered the phone and got tied up with a pickup order. Which blew my mind because they should have a better system where someone else should answer the phone. When finally after growing quite a line behind the register someone came up to take over and cash us out. Sure, I was annoyed but I could let it go. Especially because I could see my delicious looking salad on the counter and couldn't wait to eat it. I get my order and notice that she put my salad in the bag sideways so therefore everything in the container falls to one side. When I got to my workplace I realize that the lid wasn't even on right so half my salad fell into the bag. Again, annoyed me but could have got over it. Then when I pull everything out I find that the cup of dressing they have me was not ranch. I still don't know what it was but it's not something I have ever ate or ever want to eat again. I put a tiny bit on my salad but could not stomache the taste of the dressing so I picked a bit at it and threw it away. $10 on a salad just to be thrown away. Mind you, I'm on lunch at work and don't have time to go back and wait another 10 minutes in line to get ranch. I'm very disappointed and frustrated. The only good thing I will give them is that their salad looked amazing and I'm sure if I had an edible dressing I would have been happy. Oh, and the brownie I picked up was delicious. Won't be...
Read moreMe and my daughter had been eating at Bill and Ruth’s Cherry Street about 6-7 months. We place the same order each time. A female with blond hair, dark roots and a foreign accent tried to get us to purchase more food. Then she came to the register. The price she said was not the price our total normally is. I asked her is the prices changed in the last few days? She had an attitude. I explained that me and my daughter order the same thing each time. I started taking out previous receipts from Bill and Ruth’s Cherry Street for the month of January 2019. The female continued to tell me the price was right. I asked to speak to a male. I’ve never had a problem with the males that checked us out. A guy came over and looked down at the receipts. He adjusted the price. The lady said to him as we walked off “that was a special.” No where on the receipt or signs does it say special. I called Bill and Ruth’s Cherry when I arrived home. The number made a disconnect sound. I called two other locations to see if they had another number for Cherry Street. No. Last Friday me and my daughter went by in person. I wanted to talk to a manager. I spoke with one person who pretty much made excuses for the female trying to intentionally over charge us. She continued to tell me the price was correct even with three receipts laying in front of her dated for January 2019!!!! She was a b**. Read moreToday takes the cake. I know how busy they are at noon, so we tried to call ahead. A woman answered and placed me on hold. We live nearby and planned to walk to we started walking in the meantime. Over 13 minutes later we were there and at the order counter, still on hold. I showed my phone to the young man taking orders and he was very apologetic. I didn’t make a stink. One of the line cooks decided to chime in and callously commented that it would have been a 30 minute wait either way. Thanks jerk. Even so, that was the whole point…so I could wait at home or outside instead of crowding inside or waiting in a long drive thru line. I will say this, he was right about the 30 minutes. We’ve been coming here a long time and before they moved to the new building. Their food is good but not good enough to wait that long for sandwiches and I promise you will wait that long at lunchtime. We live in the neighborhood behind and the drive thru is an accident waiting to happen. It backs up and people wait in the street or worse, abruptly stop to wait in the street after making that left turn off 15th. If you’re going to come here, do yourself a favor and don’t come at lunchtime. I guess that is unless time...
