I visited Jones Co. Coffee on Route 66 near Mother Road Market on a Wednesday afternoon around 3 p.m. The brick building welcomes you with a cute, cottage-like entrance off to the side. I was greeted by a bright blue and white color scheme. Everything ties into the blue theme, from the signage outside to the comfy blue sofa and even the wall art. They have blue tennis balls on the feet of the chairs to keep them from screeching on the floor, a quirky yet practical touch.
The service at Jones Co. Coffee was friendly, fast, and efficient. The menu offered a nice variety of drinks and food options, but I decided to keep things simple and went for a large mocha. I was told it came with four shots of espresso, which is a lot! The mocha was pretty standard and arrived at the ideal temperature for drinking.
Iām not the type to power through four shots of espresso, so I ended up splitting the mocha with my husband, who was more than happy to help. Even though I didnāt order any food, I did notice a case of pastries and savory items they had on display. The selection ranged from muffins to chicken salad croissants. One thing that caught my eye was the chess set in front of the sofa. If Iād had more time, I wouldāve loved to sit down and play a game. Itās a nice touch for those who want to linger a bit longer. Coffee and chess? Me thinketh yes!
My large mocha came to $8 before tax and tip. Given that it had four shots of espresso, the price seemed pretty reasonable. Youāre definitely getting your caffeineās worth with this drink! Overall, Jones Co. Coffee is a good spot for anyone looking for a chill place to sip on a strong cup of joe...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI ordered a spiced chai and a lavender cookie the other day, but the worker taking my order misunderstood and thought I asked for lavender syrup. I corrected her, and she fixed it. However, when I got my receipt, I was charged for the syrup. I brought this to their attention and the worker who made my drink said she knew what I meant and didnāt add the syrup in. I asked what they could do about it and was told they would partially refund me for the item I didnāt order.
The issue is I got charged for something I did not want nor ordered. It also seemed like they were aware of that discrepancy but did not feel compelled to address that until I said something. I did not get a refund for it, and now I feel jipped paying for something I did not order...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe place overall was nice, very clean. The parking is limited and the main entrance on the side is awkward. Instead of walking into a coffee shop, youāre walking straight into the restrooms with a picture of a man holding his nose by the bathroom. I went in around 10am, and they had little in stock as far as food options. Both items I asked for, out of the 5 or so listed were out. The person at the counter did offer to make some fresh, but it would take about 20 minutes or so and sadly, I didnāt have time to wait. The hot caramel macchiato I received was good with the exception, I ordered it iced so I was a little disappointed in that as well. I love supporting small businesses around Tulsa vs chain establishments but this one has room for...
