Lennys Grill & Subs — Restaurant in Tulsa

I placed the order below on the Lenny’s app. My husband was going to pickup after he left a Drs appt. He ended up getting done earlier than expected. So I called the restaurant and spoke to super nice employee who made it sound like she wrote down my order. I told her he was already there she said tell him to come on in and we Will make it.

He gets home we sit down after we gathered our chips & drinks. Sat down unwrapped Sammy’s to see they weren’t cut in half like normal. After we cut the Sammy’s we noticed the meat literally falling out of the Sammy in a way I’ve never seen. Well we figured it out…no provolone! I had ordered no Onion/ no American Add provolone. We really tried to eat the Sammy’s but when I say they were so damn dry without the cheese. The meat seemed really dry & crumbly. Which are all things a no cheese Sammy would do.

So at that point I decided to call back to the restaurant. The worker MAYA answered…I explained to her a rough draft of what had happened. She immediately said oh your order just came through and you ordered no cheese. I said no I’m looking at what I ordered in the app and it clearly states on both Sammy’s no onions/ no American/ ADD provolone. She argued with me and did everything but call me a damn liar. I finally told her I would just call back when the owner is in. When I have it in black & white and your worker is going to treat me the way she did is the sorriest excuse of customer service when y’all screwed the pooch on my almost $30 for 2 Sammy’s. Lenny’s just introduced a new item Mac & Cheese. Let me just say I despise Mac & Cheese, I just hate it, I’m of the belief that pasta deserves a red sauce. So to me this new item was not a thrill. So I ordered my usual (the best sandwich of all time, the Italian) but they gave me a sample of the Mac & Cheese for me to try and told me it was really really good. I rolled my eyes (yea I’ve heard that before) and forked one of the noodles, not really even going to give it a fair shot, but I ate the one noodle, and believe me, or better yet, try it for yourself, it is fantastic! No really it is good enough to have as the main dish, not just some side filler dish. This stuff is great! That is very hard me to say, or even believe because I’ve never had any Mac & Cheese I thought was worth eating, so for me to think this was good enough to eat and enjoy on its own is astounding. Its flavor profile is very deep, not a sharp cheesy hit and run, but instead a flavor you want to savor, it’s the taste that makes you roll your eyes in delight. Needless to say I ate every bite and scraped the bowl. One note, I did add a bit of salt and pepper (which they gave me with the sample) after the initial bite, and that enhanced the already great taste to phenomenal.

Note: they have now added the new “Everything bread” it tastes great, I had it on the Italian, but I bet it would be great on practically all...

I driven over 60 miles to come into Tulsa and was busy running around on errands trying to get everything done before I had to make the drive home. When I got hungry I looked around and there was a sub shop. Lenny's turned out to be a wonderful experience. Every employee was busy, but that didn't stop them from welcoming me as I came in the door. Not knowing the menu I went with a simple turkey sandwich called the Mile High Turkey, my server asked me if I was new to the shop, and told me I would get a free cookie with my order (my choice). The sandwich was incredibly fresh, meat, bread, and veggies, I was very happy with it. the lady who was restocking the cookies (fresh homemade by the way) asked me how was everything, like most places do, but then she went above the norm by suggesting I might like a certain relish with that sandwich. Boy was she right. I don't usually try new things when I am in public(kind of funny that way) but she read me right and stepped me up. The whole experience was a wonderful one. Can't thank the staff (all of them) enough. You should really treat yourselves and go the Lenny's....
