Read moreFirst and foremost I would like to say that this is my first time eating at Long John silver and it will be my last. I now understand why there's not many of them out there. My husband and I was craving for fried fish. This was not worth $53 for a family meal at all. As you could tell from the picture that was my fries and hush puppies and the way that I found them was they were under the fried so breaded so greasy fish. It was not in a separate container where it looked like it was cared for or enough to feed a family. They were so interest to get rid of me through the drive-thru that I would assume I had all my stuff but the one thing that I was missing was my coleslaw cuz this was a 16 piece fried fish four side 16 hush puppy family meal for $40 some dollars. From that picture does that look like a shareable size fries for a family. My husband says that the green bean tasted funny so did the crumble macaroni and cheese that looks like it was stuffed in it to full up the cup. The cocktail sauce tasted very nasty. Which made my husband and I very very sick to our stomach. If I could I would give this restaurant zero Stars. There is nothing great about Long John silver's once you unravel all that breaded on top of the fish it was like a pack of ketchup under all that grease. This meal from here makes me not want to eat from there ever again and hopefully those that read reviews can understand why. If the restaurant decide to reach out to me all I have to say is that I don't want no food from there I just want my full refund because it was not worth $50 some dollars to feed my family all breaded greasy fish and unflavored uneven portion sides for my family. I was better off to go to Taco Bell or McDonald's at least it wouldn't hurt so much cost so much and make...
Read moreI've been going to this 51st a& Harvard location for years now. The lady at the front counter is a sweetheart however, today was really crowded so I went through the drive thru. I ordered my food and let them know that I'm Veteran and VA Disability Tax Exempt. The lady says we can't do both. I explained that veteran discount falls under store discount and Tax has nothing to do with them, that is what OKLAHOMA has awarded me. When I get to the window and as usual both were taken. I thought this was good enough however, the lady at the window was very short as if she was giving me the discounts. Then of all things she says, "We don't give Veterans discounts, but we did for you today". This is a blatant lie, because I've always got Veterans discount from this location, not to mention, if they didn't give veterans discount, why wasn't it said upfront instead of WE CANT GIVE BOTH?. We as veterans protect the citizens of america and for her to act like this was her discount or lie and say they don't give veterans discount is a total disgrace to our arm forces. So they have lost a customer from this day forward. The short attitudes and lies are the reason for the 1 star. Then she asked if I wanted sauce, I said cocktail and before I could say 2 or 3, she gave me 1, Would it break the company to give 2 for a sampler Meal, or did this also come out of her pocket? Once again the lady at the front counter has always treated me with the utmost respect. Hopefully someone will train the personnel there that veteran discount is totally different from tax exempt. VA DISCOUNT comes from store, TAX EXEMPT DISABILITY comes from the state. YOU ARE NOT...
