Carnivore's BBQ Sandwich Shop — Restaurant in Turlock

This place is SOOO good!!! EXCELLENT FOOD AND EXCELLENT SERVICE. I have not eaten here before and decided to try a sandwich to see if I should get this place to cater for my daughter’s 1st birthday party, which was the following day. Needless to say, after taking one bite of the sandwich, I knew this was the place. The bread was so soft and fresh, the tri-tip was sliced nice and thin, it was perfect. We needed enough meat for about 30 people and everything turned out perfectly. By the way, not only is the meat amazing, but the potato salad was BOMB. EVERY single person that ate it said how good it was! The owner was great and provided us with a BUNCH of extra sauces, like a lot! They forgot the bag of plates (good heavy duty ones)and utensils, which I was not expecting at all, and the guy drove back to make sure we had it. I feel like they hooked us up with extra everything. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND...

The first time I ordered they advertised lunch delivery, but didn't have it so we went there and brought it back to our office. It was really delicious. The second I went in and ordered and was asked to wait 4 minutes for the mac and cheese, which I did. It took more than ten....probably 15 minutes or so....but I waited. I was anxious to try it. I got back to the office....no mac and cheese. I called....the girl explained the cup they put in my bag that looked like a cup of chopped pork was actually the "loaded mac and cheese". She asked if I could come back....I told her no, I'm at work, just credit my card back. She said she would call me back....no call....no nothing....called her back....put on hold and that was it....no response, no call back....no nothing. I'm really disappointed. At least take the call.....offer to make it right....do something! Still haven't heard anything.....it's been...

Barring its location, this shop is above average with regard to the tangible aspects like presentation, appearance, and size. I've eaten at Carnivores eleven times in two months, eating the same sandwich plus one new item each time, 9 times with a friend and twice with a relative. The only complaint I have is that without fail, the person who comes in with me is missing ingredients they requested like sauce or cheese. Guest service, given most of them are kids is above average say for a few employees who sufficiently provide it effectively. Cleanliness is excellent. Space is the biggest issue aside from consistency seeing as how the business is exploding, albeit if only from this one perspective. Very good establishment; I recommend to those just-adventurist-enough willing to give it a try,...
