When I arrived at 6:20pm, I was told a 15-20 minute wait by Jordan. The staff seemed to be moving quickly, so imagine my surprise when 20 minutes passed but my name wasn't called . At about 25 minutes, I noticed a couple who arrived after me being seated. So, I asked Brandon (who had taken over hosting about 10 minutes after I arrived) where I was on the list. They had started a NEW PAGE and were almost a third of the way down. Brandon said that I was next. Five minutes later, Brandon was cleaning a table and Jordan sat a couple who arrived after me at that table. By now, I'd noticed that my coworker, who arrived after me, was no longer sitting in the waiting area. I went to Jordan to ask when I would be seated and he walked me to booth. The waitress (Jayden) came over quickly. I asked for a French coffee (an alcoholic drink). She wasn't sure that they made it and would check. She came back, said they did not make it, but maybe she could get me a coffee with a shot. She said she was sure the drink probably was more complex than that and apologized. After she took my order and delivered my food, she checked on me ONE more time. She delivered gift cards to the Veterans, then I didn't speak to her again until I was trying to leave. She passed my table several times. As for the food, my Fiesta Lime Chicken was piping hot but the rice was mushy. This was Veterans Day dinner. I, rarely, eat at Applebee's and now I remember why. This was the ONLY place I went to today where the service was poor.

For a Sunday the vibe was definitely mellow. I was in T-Town dropping my son off at The University of Alabama. I am a super proud parent 😁. Back to business. I think we went for a late lunch. At either rate, it wasn't busy at all. The food was delicious. My son actually ate the sauteed onions beneath the chicken. We agreed to order two different meals and split them. Best thing ever because I am not a huge consumer of steak but I can eat shrimp all day. Both meals had shrimp on top. Yippee!! The female taking care of the table wasn't the most proficient. It was almost as if management briefed her not to do refills unless the customer explicitly requested. I say that because she walked by our table a few times passing by my son's empty cup. If you have ever read any of my reviews then you know that my son can go through a cup of liquid quickly. There was a point in which both cups were empty and she stood right there and asked if we needed anything. I found it rather peculiar but still I responded, "Yes...drinks." I honestly tried my darndest to refrain from all nonverbal expressions because I didn't want to appear offensive. Was I irritated, yes but I wasn't going to dwell on it. Oh...the pretzel sticks were awesome!

I came here for lunch. It wasn't crowded. I ordered the white queso dip and chips. It wasn't white queso. It looked like rotel dip. It wasn't white and had red and green peppers in it. I also had the Chicken parmesan fettuccine. It's a crispy chicken breast smothered in marinara sauce topped with parmesan cheese on a bed of fettuccine pasta in a parmesan cream cheese. The chicken was fried very crunchy on the outside. The meat inside was tender, but the marina was thick and tomato-y. Not a great combination with Alfredo parmesan. They should have served the chicken on the side separate from the pasta. The food was hot and good, but had I thought about it, I could have had another entree to go instead of paying $25 for one because they have that 2 for $25 deal going on again.

I'm not one to write reviews; however, my experience at Applebee's today was so bad that I feel a need to let others know about it. First, the hostess took our name on a sheet of paper--not a big deal, until my family and I noticed she wasn't speaking over a normal inside voice to call customers for their tables. Good thing we sat right in front of her stand. Then, after about a 10-15 minute wait, we were taken to our seats. We were still positive at this time. Our waitress arrived a few minutes later to take our drink order. There were only 4 of us and it wasn't a complicated order; however, she returned with 3 out of 4 drinks correct. She leaves and a few minutes later returns with the next drink. We did not have silverware on our table, so we ask for our silverware and place our order. Our order was not complicated either--items directly off the menu, no special requests--yet she got an attitude while we were ordering like she was put off by us ordering food. It took quite awhile to get our food and a different server brought out 2 of the 4 meals and a salad for another with the wrong salad dressing. Still no silverware. Almost 8 minutes later, the remaining 2 meals were brought out. We ask the waitress for silverware, again. She leaves. Still no silverware. We ask another waitress for silverware. We sit awkwardly staring at our food for about 10 minutes. Finally, a family member goes to the bar to get silverware and as they returned to the table, the waitress, after serving several other tables before us, brings our silverware. Now, the food. If you want a steak, DO NOT GO HERE FOR STEAK. My husband said this was the first time he's ever met a steak he did not want to eat. He said it looked like it came from the Dollar Tree, it was cold, and it tasted like uncleaned grill. He requested medium well and received well done, not to mention it was not the correct size cut. Another family member's steak was not cooked correctly either. My husband also said that the experience was so bad, he choked down what he could of the meal--which wasn't much--just so he could get out of the place faster. Now for the minor inconveniences: our drinks were never refilled; the ketchup was out on our table, we had to ask multiple times for a new bottle; and it took quite some time for our waitress to return to our table so we could get our check, which was close to $100... Needless to say, we will never eat here again. We would not eat here again if the food was free, we were paid to eat here, or if it were the last place to...

Usually when me and my friend come to this establishment, we usually have a good experience with the bartenders. But, tonight we decided to go again and decided to get a table instead of sitting at that bar. Our server took roughly 15 minutes to bring our water out despite him stopping at multiple tables to chit chat and laugh while making eye contact with us multiple times and not brining out our drinks. Once he took our food order, when we received it, my friends food was cold like it had been sitting in the expo and hadn’t been ran. Once we were done with our food, it took him roughly 30 minutes to acknowledge we were done. He didn’t offer us refills despite our drinks being empty from us waiting so long on our food. When we told him he wanted the check, it took him a whole nother 15 minutes to bring it to us and he wasn’t even doing anything by goofing around as it seemed to us. Needless to say it took him another 10 minutes to come by and get our forms of payment and then a nother long while for us to get a our cards back. We spent 2 hours at a place where we only ate for like 20 minutes tops and most of the time there we were waiting and starving and thirsty. It seemed like our server was new and Applebee’s just throws severs on the floor without proper training. But it was really irritating that he was no where to be found and everytime we saw him and tried to get his attention he was giggling and tee-heeing with other tables despite us not having anything to drink. Literally our drinks didn’t come to us until 12 minutes after we placed our food order. We will just stick to the bar tending service because the server service obviously isn’t up to par and needs...

Arrived around 920pm. School night for kids decided to grab a quick bite before home. Server had no personality. Took order, dropped tasteless teas off and hung in back to go car area for 20 -30 minutes. I asked my group about time we had been waiting it was already close to 30 mins. Server reappears to table in front of us and say you ready for check. They said no. She glanced at us then headed to get food dropped off kids food and said ours was waiting for fries. We started a conversation about the lack of service and since we the 2 adults still hadn't received our first round of all you can eat items after 40 minutes did we want to attempt to do this for the final hour the restaurant was open. We decided that since 10 more min had passed we was just going to leave as the meal had already diminished it's value by not having received the initial one. As I started looking for the manager the server was finally leaving the kitchen within our 1st round. I flagged her canceed the order and asked for manager. The manager was pleasant responded appropriately and properly addressed my concerns. The manager was the most enlightening part of the whole dining experience. I live across the street this location, a 5 minute walk, 2 min drive. It was my favorite area restaurant when I purchased my home in this area 7 years ago. My every attempt to give it another try falls flat. I want so bad to have my riblets, bourbon street steaks and chicken won ton tacos. and Fiesta lime chicken again. Please fix...
