Big Dunkin fans, including when we travel.
This Dunkin Donuts (Stillman in Tuscaloosa, AL) is clean and fresh but is dying for some real organization and management. Despite being friendly, the employees don’t seem to have any clue what they are doing. Can’t take orders. Can’t fill orders. CAN’T FILL ANY ORDER CORRECTLY. Totally ridiculous. On Sunday, 01Dec2024 at 12noon - there are 10 DD employees working (I counted them) and they’ve got customers stacked up WAITING TO ORDER. WAITING TO PICK-UP. COMING BACK BC THEIR ORDER IS WRONG. 10 employees working and this.
The on-duty manager does not seem to know what she’s doing either.
This store was ‘out’ of everything by 12noon: bagels, wraps, donuts. So people order at the counter OR via the mobile app, PAY FOR THEIR ORDER and then go to pick-up to be told “We’re out of that.” So what choice does the customer have? They’ve already paid in most cases and are stuck having to select something else (assuming IT’S still available).
This was also one of the biggest football weekends in Tuscaloosa, AL - the Iron Bowl. Was there any planning or forethought given on the part of DD managers/owners to ordering enough food supplies for the busy football weekend? Apparently not.
This is a gold mine business, with an enormous customer population, DYING TO BE ORGANIZED AND BETTER MANAGED. Definitely a lost opportunity here…
If you patronize this business, plan on 1) doing a lot of waiting, 2) having the store be out of whatever you ordered, and then 3) still getting your...
Read moreFood is always consistent and good. Bathroom today was atrocious and clearly someone overflowed it and staff has cleaned everything but the toilet which had dried bits of toilet paper all over it and either feces or blood on the seat. There is only one stall for the women's.
When you walk in they are usually busy which is fine. But no staff will look at you or acknowledge you until they are ready to take your order. No one says hi, we will be with you in a moment. Or sorry, we are busy we will get you in a sec. It's like a game of not making eye contact even though there's usually about 5 staff and anyone can just acknowledge your presence and say "we see you, please wait." So when someone does address you finally they're asking if you already ordered. A greeting would be a verbal signal to other staff that someone is indeed waiting and needing to be served. Just etiquette anywhere food service I've worked is to acknowledge your customers are there. Not purposely ignore them until you're ready for them. Corporate pop ins actually check to see if staff are greeting customers as well so this seems odd culture in this store to play the look away game.
Excited to try the cinnamon vanilla coffee and the churro donut looks good but this time I got the omelet bites. Love the snackin bacon as well. And hashbrowns. Something for everyone.
Love the revamped parking/parking lot and on tap coffee. This store would benefit from a kiosk like the McFarland location since they're so busy they don't have time to...
Read moreSept. 8, 2024 I walked in on a Sunny Sunday just as 4 young ladies were walking out. I didn't notice a line in the drive thru and the speed of my order was good. They still need to work on consistency of their measurements as my chai was a little short. My sandwich was made fresh and hot. The apple cider donut was fresh, never a problem with the donuts.
May 1, 2024 Over 20 mins for a walk-in mobile order. Sooo now I'll order my food and drink 30 mins before and warm it up at work. The speed has gone done DRASTICALLY. March 11, 2024: They can, usually, do no wrong. Well, today was a weird one. I used the app to place my order, a chai with unsweetened toasted coconut syrup. I went in and my cup was ready on the tray. When I got to my car and poured it, it smelled strong. I was late to work and thought that it was my imagination. But when I got to work and it TASTED strong then I knew that I had the wrong beverage. I asked my boss to smell it and YUP! It was coffee. Later, I went back to my car to look at the labels. Both the cup label and the ticket had the correct order request. SO! If your coffee/espresso was REALLY weak, it's because you got my chai. 2018: Staff is friendly and accommodating. Orders are made to...
