The best kept secret soul food spot in Tuscaloosa! Hands down, some of the best food I've eaten out. Good down-home southern food fixed with love and without pork seasoning. My husband and I have dined here twice within a two week period, and we do not live in Tuscaloosa lol! Hamburger steak, gravy, fried okra, and authentic mac n cheese!! Delicious!! Fried catfish with no oil remnants, collard greens( delicious), yams.. I can't sing their praises enough! If I could give them 10 stars, I would. Simple dining and very clean. You need to come see for yourself! We love this place!! And the desserts....goes without saying... To the King establishment, thank you for preparing such delicious food. Side note, they do have pork chop, prepared separately from the rest of their food. I don't eat pork, but my husband does, and he said they are beyond amazing.

Can't believe I've passed by this place no fewer than 50x in almost a half decade for work and never knew it was there. I got the dressing with okra and mac and cheese with a slice of red velvet. Everything, from the cornbread to the gravy on the dressing, was delicious. I really can't remember the last time I had such a good meat and three. For everything with tax, I paid about $18. It was a little pricy, but the portions were good and the employees were all nice even though it was lunch hour and they were jam-packed. Definitely can't come here all the time, but I know where I'll get lunch when heading back to the office in Bham from now on!

Great place! Tired of cooking and eating fast food during the end of the stay at home orders, I googled "vegetables in Tuscaloosa." Found King's Kitchen - huge list of sides: Collard greens, Lima beans, squash & onions, purple hull peas, fried okra. That's just a few. All sides are served daily, with different daily entree specials. Get a 4-veggie plate or a 'meat & 1, 2 or 3.' Got the deluxe salad (no meat added). Was a full container of lettuce, diced onion & tomato, heavy bacon bits, a sliced boiled egg, light cheese, huge croutons. So fresh! Also got a side of squash & onions and a side of the Thursday special, chicken & dressing. Wow! Better than grandma's. All great! Hubby got meatloaf, mashed potato, limas & collards. Very happy. Think we'll be eating there a few times a eweek for a while. Eager to try the catfish & spaghetti casserole. Couldn't be happier. Service in 20min, prompt, friendly, correct and delicious. $19.90 before tax. Love...

This place is delightful. When I walked in I was welcomed by smiling facing asking my how my day was. The owner and his wife greeting me and told me about how they opened this new “Mom and Pop” country restaurant.

When I stepped up to the counter I ordered the Southern Fried chicken tenders with fries and collard greens. When I say down they served me sweet tea, which in all honesty was the perfect amount of sweetness.

I was very happy with the size portions my chicken tenders came out crispy, thick, and juicy, with a light seasoning...a 5/5 My fries, I would have liked a little but crispy but where a nice potato bite for a 4/5. My greens where hot and very hearty, a easy 5/5. Seasoned up something proper.

Overall I was very pleased with my meal and will definitely be coming back now that I’m living the the...
