My girlfriend and I who don’t get The chance to go out a lot with a new baby and a 9 year old at the house, got a babysitter for one hour and chose walk ons for the food and the atmosphere. We came to the bar, ordered our drinks and appetizers and sat there enjoying each others company. Over half our drinks we’re gone, 30 minutes had gone by, and our appetizers still weren’t infront of us. No manager has approached our table acknowledging the wait times for our apps or explained what was going on. I suddenly received a text from the general manager, Eric Geloneck, telling me I wasn’t going to receive anymore service and I couldn’t enjoy the food at the establishment any longer and needed to leave. Right after that a server comes out with our food in Togo boxes telling us they couldn’t serve us anymore, and we needed to pay for our drinks and head out. we didn’t ask for our food to be Togo. We could’ve stayed home and ordered take out to save money, but we chose to eat at walkons for a good rare date night. We went there to enjoy the food with the atmosphere walkons is supposed to provide. The manager working, Beth Watson, walked by us at least 12 times and not once came to us about the situation. She sent a employee to refuse service, putting the employee in an uncomfortable situation. I was walkons executive kitchen manager since day one up until recently and this is one of the numerous reasons why this GM and management staff have not been able to gain “Traction” in this restaurant. It is ran by someone who does not preach the walkons atmosphere and it’s culture. This is the reason why this restaurant has an issue when it comes to keeping staff. People aren’t treated right. Somebody refusing service to a paying customer not causing any issues is not someone who should be running a restaurant in your company. A GM that teaches this to his management staff and having management staff that backs it is not people I would want to be on my Payroll and running my establishments. Mind you I left on my own accord and for a better opportunity for my family and I. I still had loved and supported walkons which is why we chose to eat there tonight, but after tonight I will not keep my mouth shut about why walkons Tuscaloosa is being ran to the ground. I have voiced my concerns to management staff and been pushed back and exiled because I’m the only one who wants to do it right and make sure things are taken care of. I have voiced my concerns to Wayne Shullaw, only for walk ons best intention. I wish this corporation the best but this restaurant will not succeed with the management staff they have. I hope all my information will be used as a seek to understand moment and not be swept under the rug as a simple complaint. If you truly care about Tuscaloosa 404 and it’s team members you won’t take any of this lightly. I hope y’all see and fix a problem that will deminish your brand as well as help the employees that can’t help themselves in this situation. Which is why the staff will probably start to jump ship. I also hope no customer ever gets treated the way walk ons corporation treated my girlfriend and I tonight.

Read moreYesterday we had a very disappointing experience at this Tuscaloosa Walk-ons location.
Our son, who attends the University of Alabama, was honored with an Academic Achievement Award, and we chose Walk-ons for dinner afterward because we had had good experiences at this location in the past.
When we arrived, we were seated quickly, and our waiter, Jeremy, was initially very friendly. We were a family of six, and one of our teenage children ordered the ribeye poboy from the menu.
Unfortunately, our waiter Jeremy misunderstood the order and brought a whole ribeye steak with a side of what appeared to be two biscuits instead. My son, assuming that he was supposed to put the sandwich together himself, cut the steak to check if it was cooked correctly and to remove the excess fat from around the edges. He soon realized that the two biscuits that came with the meal were two scoops of mashed potatoes as a side order that he had never requested.
When he requested the ribeye poboy again, our waiter Jeremy seemed taken aback and asked if he wanted to order it even though he had already eaten off of the steak. This was not the case, as my son had only trimmed the fat and checked if the steak was cooked to his liking.
Jeremy then went to speak to the manager. When Jeremy returned, he said that his manager was insisting that my son eat the steak that they had brought to the table since he had already cut it. I was very surprised by this and asked to speak to the manager myself.
Eric, the manager came over to the table and was very defensive and rude. He asserted that the steak had been eaten, even though it was still completely on my son's plate. I showed him the trimmed fat pieces and explained that they were all still there. Eric rudely stated that he would need the plate back to which we obliged and handed him the plate back.
Eventually, we were given the ribeye poboy we had initially ordered, but there was no apology or acknowledgment of the error made by the restaurant. Instead, Eric the manager came back over and made a rude comment to us about how the next time we eat off of an order we receive, the restaurant would not be able to assist us. We felt as if this comment insinuated that we were trying to scam the restaurant and, as a result, felt completely disrespected.
This level of disrespect on an important night for our family was unacceptable and left us extremely disappointed.
As a result, we will not be returning to this Walk-ons location due to the poor customer service that was demonstrated and the disrespectful behavior of the staff, particularly the manager Eric.
This behavior is detrimental to the Walk-on brand and needs to be addressed before it...
Read moreToday (10/5/2025) was me and my friends first time trying Walk ons. We wanted to try a place that we hadn’t been before to celebrate my friends birthday. We were seated and the waitress took a little longer than expected to come to our table. We placed our drink orders looked over the menu and were ready to order. We placed our orders and received our appetizers. Our food came and 3/4 of us had a form of pasta. 2 had chicken Alfredo and I had the bayou pasta I believe (crawfish and shrimp). As I tasted my food I immediately spit it back out. The flavor was disgusting because it tasted bland and like noodles with no sauce. My friends believed the same but they were able to eat some of their food. The waitress asked how everything was and we told her everything was bland and she offered us seasonings. The seasonings did nothing but my friends continued to eat. I was offered to receive something else. I order honey hot wings…big mistake. The flavor was good on the first wing no issues. When I bit into the second wing and pulled it out my mouth I saw pink and juices flowing out. I immediately spit it out and showed my friends. We came to the conclusion that it wasn’t cooked all the way. Our waitress came back and asked how the wings were but before I could finish my sentence she said “they’re undercooked aren’t they” this tells me that this situation happens often. She grabbed her manager and the manager did below the bare minimum to solve the issue. She told me how they’re cooked and tried to indicate that it’s normal. She offered to have them recooked but I declined because I no longer wanted anything from that place after that. I was very concerned because I had already consumed one wing so it’s no telling if it was raw as well. My pasta was comped but my wings weren’t and I feel like they should have instead of an excuse being made. This is absolutely outrageous. The food being disgusting is one thing but raw food is unacceptable. Do better! I wish I could upload the...
