We arrived just before 5:30pm. They were busy, so we waited 15 minutes for a table. They told us they only had a two seater available and nothing else would open up for a while. Seeing as it was my husband and I and our two young daughters, we managed to squeeze in.
The bus boy ended up taking our drink orders and bringiny chips and salsa at 6pm after we'd been sitting there for 15 minutes. My margarita was blended instead of on the rocks, but I didn't bother saying anything--I've been a waitress, so I don't typically make a fuss.
At 6:15pm two girls were seated at the table next to us.
The waitress finally showed up at 6:30, fortyfive minutes after we'd been sat. She was tall, with long blond hair, probably in her 40's. My husband ordered the fish tacos, I ordered a steak chimichanga, and the girls each ordered cheese quesadillas.
At 7pm the bus boy brought more chips and refilled my husband's strawberry lemonade. The table behind us came in from a cigarette break and complained loudly about their food still not having arrived.
At 7:15pm the girls at the table next to us, who were sat half an hour after us, received their food.
At 7:25pm he brought us more chips and salsa. Immediately after the waitress came and told us our food would be done in just a few minutes (keep in mind we'd been sitting there for an hour and a half and this was the second time she'd approached us). My husband and I agreed we'd wait until 7:15 before leaving.
At 8pm our food still hadn't arrived. We'd been there for two and a half hours, we'd been sat two hours and fifteen minutes, and we'd placed our orders an hour and a half earlier.
It was our daughters' bed time. We gave up, left $15 on our table to cover the cost of the drinks, and left. We got McDonald's drive through on the way home.
I have never even heard of service this atrocious. We will never,...
Read moreWe ended up in this town and restaurant during out trip. While the service was okay, the food, portion sizes, and pricing truly stood out. Upon entering the restaurant, I was greeted by a friendly host who promptly seated me. The service, while not exceptional, was decent. The staff members were polite and attentive, ensuring that my needs were met throughout my meal but they were just slow.
Now, let's talk about the main highlight: the food. The menu offered a wide range of authentic Mexican dishes, and I was impressed by the variety of options available, however, limited veggie options. The food itself was delicious and packed with flavor with big portion. The ingredients were fresh, and the flavors were well-balanced, leaving me wanting more with each bite.
One aspect that truly impressed me was the portion sizes. The restaurant definitely believes in providing value for money, as the servings were generous. Whether you have a hearty appetite or prefer to share with a friend, you'll be satisfied with the portion sizes offered here.
Speaking of value for money, the pricing at this Mexican restaurant was reasonable. Considering the quality and quantity of the food, I found the prices to be quite fair. It's refreshing to find a place that offers delicious cuisine without breaking the bank.
Overall, while the service at this Mexican restaurant may not have been exceptional, the food, portion sizes, and reasonable pricing more than made up for it. If you're looking for a satisfying dining experience with authentic Mexican flavors, I would definitely recommend giving this...
Read moreFull disclosure, not local. Came across Edchada’s because every other Mexican Restaurant was closed Monday evening.
Sat at the Bar, service was great.
Got two combo meals which included a Chili Relleno, Beef/Bean Burrito, Beef Taco, Beef Enchilada, Tostada, Rice and Beans.
Rice and Beans were great. Very flavorful unlike most rice and beans and were the highlight of the meal. Chili Relleno was properly prepared, but average. Nothing that stood out. The Taco and Tostada were both on real fried corn tortillas, not the hard shell out of the box/bag which was good. But the beef was rather strange. It was the consistency of shredded beef, not chopped up and it was not prepared in any stew/sauce/seasoning. It had no flavor. It was not Carne Asada or Ground Beef. I would compare it to the beef in Pot Roast or a Pit Beef sandwich. It made the Taco and the Enchilada difficult to eat. Not what I would expect ordering beef at a Mexican Restaurant. The Bean/Beef Burrito was tiny, made with a soft taco sized tortilla.
Atmosphere was average, your standard Mexican Restaurant. No issues with cleanliness. Would compare it to a chain-type place, lacking Mexican authenticity.
Would consider it expensive comparing it to other Mexican Restaurants in the area based on internet menus, especially considering the quality of food. Very expensive beer/liquor, $6.95 for a Domestic Bottled Beer, compared to other bars in the area.
Forgot to take pics.
But kudos for being the only Mexican restaurant open around 7pm...
