I am regretfully writing this review to express my displeasure with Jimmy Johnâs. I ordered two sandwiches and a drink over my brief lunch break with the expectation of having time to eat prior to returning to work. Unfortunately, the delivery of my food was neither âfreakyâ nor âfastâ. Fifteen minutes after ordering the food, Mr. Johnâs online delivery tracker indicated that my order had been received but was still not out for delivery. I called this store to see how long it might take for the delivery since I was short on time and could pick up the food if need be. I was assured by the associated that answered the phone that my food was out for delivery and that it would arrive shortly.
Ten minutes later, my colleague that I ordered a sandwich for called the store once more to see why the food wasnât at our front door. She was asked if she minded being put on hold, which she responded with âyes, I do mind.â Nevertheless, she was placed on hold for about five minutes. Eventually, a different associate took her call and informed her that, âyour food is out for delivery, itâs right here in the store.â Apparently, our food entered a state of quantum superposition where it was simultaneously both being delivered and sitting on the counter. My colleague, hoping to find a solution to this Schrödinger-like paradox, asked to speak with the manager of the store to find out where our food was.
After asking my colleague a long series of questions to confirm which order she was referencing, the manager stated that they were behind due to the number of incoming orders and that the order would be sent out for delivery. About thirty-five minutes after initially ordering our food, we finally received it with nary a moment to spare. In the time it took to deliver our food, I could have driven to Jimmy Johnâs, personally made our food, driven back to my office, consumed my sandwich, and still had time leftover.
If Jimmy Johnâs will neither implement an estimated delivery timer on their online orders like every other delivery company nor warn customers about possible delays due to heightened workload, then it needs to stop falsely advertising the speed of its deliveries. The only things that were âfreaky fastâ about this experience were how quickly this store puts disappointed customers on hold and how swiftly they changed their story on the location of our food.
My coworkerâs testimonial regarding this experience is that, âlike most men in her life, Jimmy Johnâs didnât deliver.â The next time I am crunched on time and need to get food, I will just drive to a store, buy sandwich makings, return to my office, make a sandwich, eat that sandwich, and enjoy the extra time I would still save compared to ordering at this...

I then waited and waited and waited. Watched two other customers come and go and I hadnât received my subs. Finally (at 1:10) I went and asked where they were and the girl looked at my confused. I told her I had a #7 and a #3 with no lettuce or tomato add cheese. She made my sandwiches and I walked out the door. Opened it up and my sandwhich (#3) had tomato, lettuce and no cheese. So I walked back into the store, and asked them to remake my sandwhich and for the 3rd time explained I didnât want tomatoe or lettuce, add cheese. They remake my sandwhich⊠and I open it up just to check itâs made right and there is still no cheese on it. So again, I go back to the counter and for the fourth time, ask for cheese on my sub. The girl really hands me two slices of cheese over the counter for me to add myself. At no point did I receive a âIâm sorryâ or any sort of implication they felt bad for my experience. I walked out of there at 1:25. Took 35min and 4 attempts to get my sandwhich to me. I will not be going back to this location. I was there two previous times with similar problems and rude staff. For some reason this day they decided that they didnât want to deliver my food. I received a call from a very rude manager (female), Iâm assuming itâs the GM here. She told me she was cancelling my order due to it being outside of their delivery radius, but like I said before they had delivered multiple times before to this location. So she lied.
