We had an extraordinary experience on our Off the Beaten Path tour! Although there were only 3 participants, my son, granddaughter and me, our little group were treated as if we were the most important clients the company could host. Gabrielle Burton, who possesses an extensive knowledge of Idaho's history, natural resources and ecology served as our driver and guide. With Gabrielle's guidance we were able to experience some of Idaho's incredible natural wonders. As I am professionally and environmentalist, it was wonderful to explore first-hand unique biomes and geologic formations. We were awed by the waterfalls, aquifer-fed pools, canyons, and the Snake River. Gabrielle was friendly, enthusiastic and a wealth of information as we peppered her with environmental and historical questions. In the rare instance, she did not know an answer, she quickly contacted her expert resources, so no inquiry was left unanswered. She found safe places for my granddaughter and I to scramble over ancient lava flows and closely inspect lichen on rock formations. We were in awe viewing the Immigrant and Oregon trail as she recounted the adventures of early settlers. We saw coyote, antelopes and a myriad of birds. Gabrielle even became the trip photographer, taking pictures that included all 3 of us while on this terrific adventure. Idaho is a beautiful state, and Gabrielle Burton is a talented guide. Visiting from North Carolina with my elderly parents and happened upon Big Green Adventure. I actually spoke with Gabby by phone, and she arranged an earlier outing than her usual start to Crater’s of the moon, as that was the main reason my folks wanted to visit Idaho. So we spent one day on the Shoshone/Twin falls tour, and the next going to Crater’s. We had two beautiful days weather wise! Gabby was a breath of fresh air on our small group outing, infecting us all with her enthusiasm for sharing her favorite outings! Her breadth of knowledge (even on obscure topics we would bring up), was awesome. Nothing ever felt rushed! And Gabby was so patient with my folks in getting around! I can’t recommend Gabby highly enough if your travels bring you anywhere near Twin Falls Idaho…. Well...

The Off the Beaten Path tour provided by Big Green Adventures was an absolute highlight of our Siblings reunion in Twin Falls, Idaho. Our tour guide, Gabrielle was knowledgeable and entertaining, and took care of our every need.

Each stop we made was beautiful and inspiring, and it was delightful to see so many fascinating things in the area, all in one day. Now that we have a broad feel for this remarkable area, we find that we’d love to explore even more in this beautiful state!
