If I could give less than 1 star I would. I haven’t been to cheddars in 5 years due to a terrible experience. Recently my kids and I decided to try it out... hoping it would be different. But NOPE. We waited 35 minutes to get our drinks. I thought maybe she forgot the drinks since I gave her the food order at the same time. After 35 minutes of her not even returning to the table I asked the bartender for 3 waters. Which I recieved pronto. Then we got our appetizer about 40 minutes in. It was spin dip and it came with about 5 chips. When the server returned I asked for more chips and about 15 minutes later I was brought 6 waters. 🤯🤯no chips. Our food came out and it was cold. I’ve been in the service industry for 16 years. That food was ready and never ran. There was a gentleman sat about 3 tables down from us and fw was never greeted. He was less patient than I am and left after 25 minutes of no service. I saw a manager standing at a table not far from us (I had to ask if he was actually a manager) he was playing in his phone and was there for the most part of an hour. He straight up saw the guy not get greeted, he wasn’t running food, he wasn’t doing his JOB. Never ever ever will I ever bring any business back to cheddars. Oh anddddd when we were sat, the seat was soaking wet. Not disinfected or sanitary by any means.

Ordered the 8oz sirloin, mashed potatoes, broccoli casserole and a glass of their house pinot noir. The house wine was very drinkable, dry and with enough tannins to make it interesting but without being overpowering like a cabernet. It also tasted very fresh--one of the worries with ordering wine by the glass is that maybe they opened the bottle a few days ago, and you aren't getting a wine at its best. I was very happy with it. The steak was a great cut of meat with no large chunks of fat or gristle. I ordered it medium rare, and it came out perfectly cooked. It was well seasoned and tender. Usually order filet mignon, because so many places have terrible sirloin. But this was perfect, and I'd order it again. The sides were hot and tasty. Our server was friendly, with a great smile and just the right amount of chattiness. She was attentive without being annoying, and we didn't want for anything for the entire meal (drink refills, etc). It's a rare skill to be able to serve well without feeling like an intrusion, and she pulled it off perfectly.

A delight from start to finish. This place was suggested to me during a 3 hour road trip and the wife thought it'd be good. I wasn't convinced by the name but she explained it was a "Texas Applebees". Honestly not sure I cared for the explanation as my history with applebees hasn't been great. Much to my surprise I found this place wonderful. Our server Samantha took terrific care of us and seemed to always be around when we needed her. We ordered drinks and an appetizer at the same time as our entree's and they pretty much all got there at the same time, normally that's a ding but everything was super tasty so I'll let it slide. The meal and an appetizer plus 3 drinks cost my wife and I 45 bucks. That's pretty good deal and I left full of food and not to drained in the wallet.

I just want to start off by saying my family and I love Cheddar's. We were in Tyler for both graduation (from Houston) and decided to go eat at Cheddar's on Saturday 06/02. We did have a large party so we knew we were going to have a longer than usual wait time, which was fine. We were told by the hostess and the manager Aaron the wait would be an hour unless we were willing to be separated. Being separated wasn't an issue so we told them that was fine. Well after an hour and a half we were wondering what was taking so long. The hostess informed us that they were waiting on a party of 20 to leave in order to seat us. The party was just sitting there talking so they didn't know how much longer. At this point it is almost 11 pm. My cousin saw an area big enough for us open and clean and requested to be seated and was told no, but they would ask the manager. Aaron then came back up front. My cousin was asking his questions about the wait and what he originally said about separating us and he completely denied what we all heard. He was so rude and condescending I will never eat there again. He did not conduct himself as a manager should in a situation like this. He wasn't accommodating or apologetic. He was even shrugging his shoulders as if to say "whatever" when asked for the corporate number and if that is how he treats customers. So I called the number he provided and it is the Darden IT department NOT a corporate number. The only reason I am giving 2 stars is because our waiter/server/chef Cedric was AMAZING!!!! He apologized which is what the manager should of done and told us he would do his best to make the experience better. He was also standing there when the manager was so rude. In my opinion Aaron Cater needs to be coached or retrained on customer...

I dried off my chair and put down a napkin to keep my arms from sticking to the bar. When the Bartender finally approached us, one of 2 parties being served, lots of employees standing and chatting, we order a shot of tequila and a glass of carbonated water, and a double amaretto sour. We were asked to pronounce it again then was asked to be patient while he figured out what it was. We told him, amaretto and sweet and sour mix over ice. Then he looked around and finally asked if we could point the alcohol out we were wanting. The bartender had to be reminded we wanted a double, then poured a shot of tequila. When I tasted it, it was sweet. I had to wait for 15 minutes till I could get the bartender's attention again, lots of employees ordering food. I asked why the tequila is sweet and was told because it's Triple Sec. Not what was ordered. Without apology or contrition my glass of triple sec had a shot of tequila dropped in on top. The food was not delicious enough to overcome the service deficit. We felt like we wasted time and money at Cheddar's.

thanks for reaching out, it's an admirable attempt, but there is nothing on the Cheddar's menu I can't get at a dozen other restaurants. I had such a terrible visit I will not come back nor will I reccomend it, and, I will share my story everytime someone mentions your establishment, in this economy I will not throw good money after bad service when I have a plethora of the same...

Absolutely horrible. Walked in and asked to be seated outside. There was only one table where someone was sitting but they said there was going to be a 10-15 minute wait. We didn't complain because even though that was stupid... 10-15 minutes later they go to seat us outside and as the host is walking out to seat us I hear the manager Yell to her "don't sit them ANYWHERE near the group that's going to be out there". When we got outside the waitress said you can't sit over here by this big table that's going to be out here soon... so she points to the tall bar like tables on the other side and said so you have to choose from over there. we have two young children with us so that's definitely not going to work... there was a table about 30 or so feet in between the "big table" they were going to be having and the only other regular sized table out there. I said can we bit sit at that small one? She said no because you can't sit by that big group of people. I'm like "it's literally 30 feet away... that doesn't make sense and we have to small kids we can't sit st those tall tables" needless to say we walked right out. She was rude that was so uncalled for. I understand it was the manager who told her that. That's insane I have never heard of anything like that in my life... I mean Are we in high school all like "you can't sit with us" literally that's how it felt. Will never ever be back nor will ANY...
