Donut Palace — Restaurant in Tyler

This has not been the best donut place in Tyler but it was one I could get a couple of things that no one else had. They did not have those things today and I decided to try two of my favorites. A Cinnamon Roll and an Apple Fritter. These were the two greasiest things I have attempted to eat in a long time. I thought the Apple Fritter had a good taste at first and was trying to eat along the edges where it didn't seem so greasy. As I was giving up, I bit into a burnt chunk and, with the grease, it was something I actually had to spit out. I don't normally waste donuts at all and threw these 2 away. Very rude woman taking order. Would yell at me while I’m trying to order, wouldn’t listen and looked over me to my fiancé to ask him what we needed as I’m ordering. I tried multiple times to give her my order. She kept talking to him over me igneoing what I was wanting. I have him go head and order the kids and I try again to order mine and instead of grabbing what I ask for she tells me we already have that one. I wanted 3 not 1. I ended up having to walk out and let him take over cause she was so rude and demanding and rushing and no one was there. Contrary to popular opinion based on current reviews, I had a disappointing experience.

The staff member was unwelcoming, rude, and the kolaches were unappetizing. After taking my order, he slid it across the counter and abruptly walked away. I have consistently received excellent service from the newly opened Donut Shop by Kissam Intermediate and the one by Triple Js. Their staff is exceptionally kind and personable.
