The Bottle Shop Deli — Restaurant in Ukiah

We were passing through the area and really wanted a good sandwich. You pick your bread, meat, cheese, condiments, and veggies. You also pick the size of the sandwich. We ordered two large sandwiches, one on soft sourdough, the other on Dutch crunch. The sourdough was made with smoked turkey, pepper jack, and veggies. The Dutch crunch was made with roast beef and provolone, lettuce, and mayo. These sandwiches ranked up near the best we've had. The sourdough soft, yet still had the chewy bite you expect from sourdough. The Dutch crunch was also enjoyable, however, I prefer the sourdough. The meats on both sandwiches was tasty.. The sandwiches were cut in half. We ate half and saved the other half for later. We will definitely be back the next time we are...

I came in today and when I walked in I said hello to everyone. There were three women working and it took a few minutes before One of the girls said hi under her breath; leaving me feel dismissed and disrespected. After I filled out my order I asked if they accepted Apple Pay and again was answered in the same almost annoyed tone of voice. Again with our looking up to properly acknowledge my existence. The reason I am giving a one star is not because of the quality of food but because of the absolute terrible customer service. I feel as though I’m in a abusive relationship with this store. The Bottle Shop deli is great - it’s the pizza place next door that seriously needs help. So I hope Marino’s Bottle Shop doesn’t suffer their relative’s pizza restaurant problems. I went for lunch as I try to support local businesses. My slice of pizza that came with the salad bar - ice cold. It was on the bottom rack of a three tier warmer, apparently made a long time before I got to it. It was hard as a rock. The broccoli soup was SO salty and thin for a cream soup. I’m sorry - just wasn’t impressed at all. And the old, ripped and plastic covered bench seat...? Why? Even the plastic covering was yellowed and torn.
