If you are new to metals then this is the place to go. David is the owner, he’s knowledgeable, personable & patient. You will not experience a “Pushy Sales” experience, quite the opposite. David is there to actually HELP you with your goals. We were green as green can be, with very little Fiat (paper money). David spent a very long time over the course of 2 days explaining precious metals to us. The remarkable thing was, David never ONCE asked us if we would purchase from him. Not once. His interest was in our “Goals” and “ Purpose” for metals. He explained the pro’s and cons of each metal as well as just what each metal consisted of. After our request of “buy back” info, he thoroughly explained the process, the pro’s and cons of each of the metals “Buy Back”. David explained the constituents of each metal as well! So, our suggestion to you is: “Don’t go anywhere else to purchase Gold and or Silver”. Do purchase from David at The Coin Shop in Ukiah CA. Don’t be fooled by the older reviews from years past. NEW owner Steven welcomes you with a smile and a hello and presents a welcoming environment to everyone who walked in his store that day. He let me rummage through his constitutional silver and I found a few that I was missing in my collection. Honesty there are proof like 1964 BF 50c just hanging out with walkers and everything in between. I also scored an incredible deal (looked it up later- wow thanks Steve!!) on a commemorative Apollo 11 50th Anniversary coin I have been wanting to own in a PCGS holder. The Morgan dollar collection is phenomenal and has tons of key dates and CC’s at great deals! I could have spent hours and all my money here, thank god I had to get somewhere or I would have stayed till closing and spent more than I should have. :p There is a huge selection but from what I can see it flips over fast so ya know you should pop in often and always buy a lil something to keep our LCS’s in business. To my knowledge this is the only coin chop in Nor Cal/Humboldt area north of Sacramento all the way to Oregon. Great Service and simple process. New owner of Ukiah Coin Shop makes it a breeze. You can trust dropping them off to do the processing. This was my second time with a 50+ year collection and I had already managed my expectations on value. Buying is not the same as selling, you will get a portion of what your loved ones paid that is the reality of this. If they are solid are solid sliver or gold you get current market rate which could be much more than they paid years ago. I recommend reviewing your coins beforehand and making two parts, coins you'll keep because they look cool or you have nostalgic value aside from actual value. And ones you'll likely want to sell.
