I chose this inn because I associate Marriott with a quality experience. I was very disappointed and am upset I paid for the experience I had. Immediately after checking into our second floor room there were loud conversations coming from outside our window. I looked and there was a large exterior balcony on the first floor directly under us with many people gathered. I called the front desk to let them know that I didn’t want to have to listen to other peoples conversations in detail. They said it shouldn’t be an issue. An hour later I called back and asked to be moved to a different room away from all the noise. It was not fun to have to pack all our belongings up again and haul them back to the front desk.
Our “new” room on the first floor had a window covered with curtain sheers right next to the parking lot. The parking lots exterior lights shone DIRECTLY into our room ALL night. At 11:00pm it still looked like bright daylight in our room. Normally you just pull the drapes shut but for some strange reason our drapes did not extend over the window. They were just decorative on either side of the window and didn’t actually cover the window itself.
We went to use the hot tub only to find out it was not working. At the pool area I saw why my first room was so noisy. The same large gathering of noisy people also had a second exterior balcony that ran along the length of the entire pool. They were bbqing and having a party. The crowd was perfectly respectful but one does not check into an inn and expect all this noise and bbqing activity.
My son got in the pool and after an hour got out and the bottom of four of his toes were cut and bleeding from the pool bottom. Had to get bandaids from the front desk.
So after not sleeping most of the night because it was BRIGHT as daylight all night in our room… the room above us had an electronic device alarming on vibrate from 5am-6am nonstop. It was a very loud and annoying buzzing noise. They must have kept snoozing it after 6am because it vibrated on and off for another 30 minutes. Needless to say we were exhausted from lack of sleep the next morning.
At check out I relayed all this to the nice woman who asked how our stay was but she didn’t offer an apology, a future discount, nothing. I’m very disappointed as this was a special stay for my son and I, I’d been on dialysis for five years and was too ill to travel and post transplant this was my first time taking him on a trip...

I am familiar with this hotel chain and since it was one of the four hotels suggested by the bride and groom, we figured it was a safe bet, and it sure was. It’s not the fanciest hotel but it was remodeled not too long ago, and as modern as it can be. The décor of the hotel is nice, the room was clean, and the area is pretty quiet; parking was easy, safe and free. The other hotel options were just a tad bit better, but this was pretty good and a bang for your buck. ||The one thing I will say is the walls are super thin. I could hear clear conversations of our neighbors, BUT I turned on the AC so that pretty much phased out the talk. ||Also, the gym is a no-frills kind of place. One treadmill, one bike and one elliptical. There are no weights of any kind. I didn’t use the pool, which is indoors; it was empty despite the outdoor heat.||The front desk was great. On two dif occasions, I asked for band-aids and lotion and they easily supplied both. Check-in was easy, fast and done with a smile. ||There are some good eats within walking distance and downtown is just an easy few lights away. ||A simple breakfast is included in our stay and it was perfect bc we had lunch plans, but I needed something after my workout, so I would make myself a granola bowl with fresh yogurt and fresh toppings. ||Overall, this was a good stay and I would come...
