Lousy experience. Went in for work pants and it was just a mess.
The Dickies pants are locked up, and no one was in clothing. I asked an employee about it (who looked like he might have been a cart pusher) and he said no, he didn't have the key. As he was walking past he noticed that the pants were locked up and exclaimed "you're kidding! They're LOCKING THEM UP NOW!?" Like, YEAH. That's what I just told you 10 seconds ago!
I found someone on the other side.of the store, patiently waited for the other customer they were helping to get whatever they needed, then asked if she had a key. Nope, no key, but she'd send someone right over. That ended up being a prompt call over the intercom for an associate to "men's lockup" (I wasn't aware I was buying clothing from a prison!)
Anyway, I walk all the way back to the clothes, and no one was there AGAIN. so I asked a lady putting clothes away in the women's section (who wasn't there before). She said she DID have a key, but instead of walking 30ft, she called someone else to open it and told me to use the red button (the one that never works...).
I did, and eventually another lady came over and opened it. The women's clothing lady came over as I was about to leave and apologized saying she thought someone was over there, who was apparently on lunch break.
I got what I needed, but the service was not good, and the fact that that is (or was 3 years ago at least) is laughable. If that's the training store, then it's no wonder the others in the area are so bad! The Walmart in Oregon are WAY better.
PS. If you want good pants with pockets, the Dickies original Flex are NOT what you need! They fit ok, but they only have the front and back pockets, no cargo or tool pockets. The front pockets are VERY small, and they cling to tools and everything if you get sweaty. Why pants companies ever made pockets smaller, is beyond...
Read moreToo many outs ,most of what I went for ,they were out of, then I needed assistant and it took forever to have someone help and finally when someone came with a key they had no knowledge about the watches I was looking at. They stood there acting like they just wanted me to leave so they could get back to what they was doing. Then I went to hardware and was looking at something and a Department manager came along and I ask the Girl about what I was looking at and she said This is not my department and I know nothing about that ,sorry, and she walk away. I was so frustrated that I just walk out. I work at a Wal-Mart super center back in the 90's,in Washington, Pa for 9.5 years, went from a small store like here in Ukiah , CA. To a super center. Let me tell you. I started as cashier, then floor in housewares, then Dept. Manager in softlines ,Let me say we was only allow 3 outs in our departments and when you work floor you help the customer and if the customer wanted to know about something that was not in your department, if you said sorry thats not my department you would of been fired. We had pride in our store and we made money. It was fun. Our store manager as well as our regional manager would never ask us to do anything that they thierself would not step up and help us and they always came out on the floor during our busy hours to help. It was wonderful. We always started our days out with a meeting out in a different department each day ,with the update from home office and what was coming up and then do our Wal-Mart squiggly dance with...
Read moreI tried to place an order on their app for pick up, it let me know that one of the items I ordered was out of stock, however I ordered 3 of the same exact item and it wasn’t giving me the information on if all three were out of stock or if just one out of three were out of stock, I tried to call the store because there was no other way to contact on the app. I called 5 times trying to get a hold of anyone in the store from any department because no one would answer. The only place that answered was the pharmacy, to which I was greeted by a male employee who was very short with me, rude, and refused to help me by letting any other store associate know I was on the line trying to talk to someone, he told me he absolutely could not do anything that wasn’t pharmacy related. I don’t understand not being able to simply let another employee know that there’s a customer needing assistance. He told me I needed to keep doing what I was doing which was waiting on the line until it inevitably hungup because no one would answer. He was unprofessional, had little patience with customer issues, and was some of the worst customer service I have experienced. Walmart needs to do better at teaching their employees customer service and just answering any phone...
