This hotel is extremely clean throughout. Kudos to the housekeeping staff for a job well done!! The hotel itself is very beautifully designed, and the rooms and amenities are all up-to-date. The beds were extremely comfortable, and the air conditioning worked well so the room was nice and cool which made for a fabulous nights sleep. Now for a very important part of our stay… The girl that worked the night shift at the front desk the two nights that we were there ( Fri July 12 and Sat July 13 ), was the kindest, and MOST helpful person that we have ever encountered at a hotel!!! We wanted to come downstairs to the breakfast eating area both nights to watch the San Francisco Giants/Minnesota Twins game. We asked her if it was possible to sit downstairs there in the breakfast nook, eating area and watch the baseball game with our friends. Without any hesitation, she came over set up the TV for us found the station that they were playing on and was able to help us with the volume control, gave us recommendations for some food in the area that we could bring back to the hotel and eat down there while watching the game. Through all of this, she was very aware of her front desk duties and did not ignore the desk and was so on top of everything happening in an and around the hotel and greeting the guests as they came through the door and offering them advice and answering questions as well. Turns out we just had the most fabulous weekend all due to her excellent managerial skills. The four of us feel terrible that we could not remember her name, especially as we asked her for her name (Sr moments? Haha!) Read moreI left a cash deposit because I mistakenly left my credit card at home and then forgot to pick up the deposit so when I called the next day to get it I was informed by the manager that my room smells like marijuana although I do not smoke and did not smoke in the room. So he informed me that he would be keeping my cash deposit of $100 and at the whole hallway smells like marijuana. So I said offer me some proof that there was marijuana in that room he said well maybe you had a large amount of it and brought it in here. I said I don't smoke marijuana why would you even insinuate that. So I've personally have seen call girls smoking marijuana out of the rooms and having their John's come in and out all night which was disgusting and disturbing. And while I was there I saw a drug deal go down between one of the hotel maids with someone else who wasn't staying there. But yet they're going to keep my deposit for something I didn't do and could not provide proof that I did. So overall the room was comfortable and fairly clean but the management sucks big time and is completely unprofessional. I will recommend that nobody stays here because it is not safe and there is no guarantee that they don't make something up just to keep a deposit. I will also be calling the Better Business Bureau and their corporate office because his manager is way out of line. And extremely condescending and rude. When I asked him for an explanation he abruptly hung up on me. And then there's a staff just a few minutes before breakfast ended the housekeeping staff I believe came down and loaded up the entire fruit bowl in their pockets so there was nothing left for anyone else...
Read moreArrived 15 minutes after check in. Was told room was not ready and come back in 30 min. Came back in 35 minutes again told room was not ready and to come back in 15 min. No apologies from the front desk and was denied option to move to another room. Was told that "only some rooms start being ready at check in time". Explained that we had a wedding to attend in an hour and needed to get checked in and get ready for the event. Asked front desk to resolve the situation and explained that we couldn't wait any longer. Never once raised my voice or got angry but again explained why we needed to get checked in and expected our room to be ready at check in time. Front desk began threatening to refuse us service because we were being "rude". Not sure how calmly presenting our situation and asking the clerk to remedy the situation could be considered rude. Clerk was very inept at handling confrontation and obviously not empowered to make adjustments to resolve a situation. Blamed her inability to do anything about the room not being ready on the fact that we booked via Expedia.
Moved to another hotel where we were able to get checked in under 5 minutes without even a reservation. Called Expedia to cancel after the wedding reception and explained the situation. Expedia would not issue a refund without hotel refunding them first.
