This was by far my worst Denny's experience, and I've been going to Denny's for many years! I placed an online order for curbside pickup at 10:45am; no one answered the phone. I went inside, said I was there for a pickup, gave my name, and was told they would check on it. I waited 20 minutes, and asked again; again I gave my name and was told they would check on it. No one came back to let me know the progress of my order. I waited another 20 minutes (now around 11:30), then asked again about my order, which I then had to give my name AGAIN, and AGAIN was told they would check. At 11:45, an hour after my order should have been done, I was told the order must have gone to the other Denny's on Fruitvale, and was told to go there. I asked that someone call to confirm before I drove across town. They called, and no, I did not have an order there. I opened my confirmation email with the receipt, 2 employees looked at it, went to the kitchen, came out and told me the order never came through! Then, she asked if she could just take my phone to the cook so he could start my order...which was weird, but at this point I just wanted my husbands birthday crepes, so I said yes. She went to the back with my phone and minutes later came back out without my phone! I had to ask 2 more people about getting my phone! Finally, after waiting about an hour and a half, I got my food...It wasn't very good! I will not be going back to that Denny's, which is a shame, because I work fairly close and my co-workers and I like to get breakfast there from time to time...saddest part, no one seemed...
Read moreThis first part is because of management. After our waitress sat us at our table and took our drink order, we waited quite awhile until we saw her again. She said it was because she has tables in several sections. Who the heck runs a dining place by having the servers have a few tables in each section? Also, when we did see her again she asked if we were ready, and we still hadn't got a coffee and a water. Were they waiting for it to rain? The glass my water came in was disgusting. Even looked cracked. I just set it aside. My wife's hashbrowns were undercooked, and I swear the bacon was just shaped cardboard because there was absolutely no flavor. My skillet had a total of 3 mushrooms in it. Seriously, are mushrooms such a rare item? After not going to a Lenny's for a number of years, besides the horrible changes to the menu (Moons Over My Hammy is sandwich now?!?!?! Only one breakfast skillet?!?!?!?!), the overall quality of the food has Seriously gone downhill. Thank goodness for green Tabasco sauce to save the day. I will stick with Shari's for my anytime of the day dining experience.
I thought about trying the one in Yakima over this one, but they have signs wanting people to wear masks, and my wife can't for health reasons. And why the hell do you have to wait for a waitress to punch in a code to use the bathroom? I guess when the place is packed and every waitress is slammed, I'll just have to relieve myself...
Read more3/11/19 I invited my mother out for breakfast at a place we went to often, sat down ordered and food was brought and not a minute later I heard a loud noise right behind me and cups falling on me before I realized what was actually happening I felt my leg hot and my jacket and jeans were soaked with hot coffee. The waitress named Liliana apologized for what she had done and moved us tables as she handed me more napkins she told me not to worry she won’t charge my food. Well on our way to check out the manager named Apryl Watson was very rude as she told me what table was I at because I didn’t have the receipt I told her we got moved tables because what had just taken place and she told me she just wants to know where I was sitting and told me my balance I then proceeded to tell her what Liliana had told me and she looked at me baffled and said what discount? “I’m the manager and I have to approve any discounts otherwise I will not and was not told about any discounts.” I was confused because I was just told by the waitress about my food not being charged so she talked to Liliana and after awhile she said alright this is your balance she discounted $5 from my total in a very botherdly manner. I paid as I was leaving she said in a high pinched voice “you know accidents do happen” I was baffled at how this manager handled my situation.
