I ordered 2 energized lemonades 5 minutes prior to closing via the panera app. My account was charged and I immediately called the restaurant to verify my order and let them know I was right around the corner. When I finally got through the voice prompts a woman answered the phone I explained I had ordered and just wanted to verify it was received. She asked my name and said there were no orders. I was trying to let her know I was right outside and trying to just grab my drinks. She again told me she had received no orders, I let her know I was going to check my bank account and I got a notification my order would be ready tomorrow at 7am… She apologized again and said if I was there it’d be different but they’re trying to close and hung up on me. I went inside immediately after she hung up on me and I asked to speak to a manager. The woman at the front said I could talk to her, she was the manager and that they were closing. I told her I knew that and she had hung up on me. I asked if I could speak to anyone else she said “no we’re trying to wrap things up here.” I just let her know I’d contact corporate because my card was charged and I didn’t receive my items. I wouldn’t have escalated the situation had she just given me my drinks or even offered my refund. I shouldn’t have to ask for a refund from an order...
Read moreIn the several years since this Panera bread opened, I had never stepped foot inside. Today I decided to try this place and eat Panera for the first time in my life, since I was tempted by the big sign about their spicy chicken sandwich that was being advertised. First, the sandwich was a big disappointment. It was pretty tasteless, when I was expecting the flavor of the spiciness. The soup was pretty good though. At the time that I went, the restaurant was nearly deserted, and even then it took me having to tell to get someone to take my order, as there was no employee in the front. I'd like to think that they were busy with online orders, but still. Anyway, the feel of the restaurant was definitely nicer than what I was expecting. The place looked clean, and the little wall lamps on each booth added a nice touch. I will probably not go back, given the blandness of the food, but that's just my humble opinion. Maybe other foods taste better, and I'm just giving my very own personal and subjective opinion based entirely on this one experience and only with the foods that I ate.
This does look like a child -friendly place, and the small outdoor eating space looks pretty nice. Too bad it was cold and windy...
Read moreI was very excited to go to Panera Breads since there isn’t one where I live. I use to go to one when I was in college and loved it. Tonight’s experience completely ruined the entire experience for me. I recommend and talked my family and friends into go there and I have never regretted a recommendation so much. The service was awkward. The restaurant was dark an unwelcoming. The food was embarrassing. My husband and another friend had the steak and swiss sandwich. I’m not exaggerating when I say there was two messily thin strips of steak on each 1/2. I actually thought they forgot to put the meat in it. Our two chicken ceasers were sad as well, maybe and I mean maybe 3 pieces of sliced chicken on the salad and no where close to enough dressing provided to have any taste to it and I actually pride myself on use a very small amount of dressing when going to a restaurant. The only good thing was the broccoli cheddar soup, it was hot and full of taste. Unfortunately we got this meal to go So there was nothing we could do about it by the time we got home. I wish we would have gone anywhere else so I could still have my great memories of Panera when I was...
