In spite of all the negative reviews you see below, this Bob Evans was my last hope in the Cincinnati area.
Consistency is key to retaining your customers and the Bob Evans restaurants of Cincinnati continue to fail at that. I only order one dish at BE and that is the turkey and dressing. I get the dinner portion so that there is more turkey. Unfortunately I never know what to expect as far as how much will be on the plate. Sometimes there is more than a satisfactory amount of turkey, but more often than not there is a disappointing amount I am today that was the case. Two small slices, TWO SMALL SLICES of Turkey. That amounted to four bites. Judging from past experiences I knew it would be useless to complain. All I ever get is, "it's weighed". I finished my meal, paid and left. This is last time you'll see me at a Bob Evans.
This Bob Evans really needs to get better organized. I've never seen more people running around doing nothing in my life. Here's a tip for the waitress because you didn't get one last night that's for sure- just because you laid the bill down on the table doesn't mean I might not need something else before I leave because you can be sure that when you charge $2.60 for a glass of tea I am going to want at least two.

Can you please tell the waitresses that salads comes out first so people can eat it while they are waiting on their main meal. That way the food isn't cold when you start to eat it.

Abandoned again after my food was served. Those mason jar glasses don't hold a lot to drink so who isn't going to need at least one refill? But my waitress never came by to see how I was doing, never checked to see if I needed anything else to drink nor did she ever come and bring me my ticket. I was feeling charitable and thought I would at least leave her a small tip, however when I stood up to go up to the counter I noticed that she was standing around talking with several other waitresses. Hint for the waitress: this might have been a good time to bring me my ticket, or ask me how I was doing, or to bring me more water. This isn't rocket science. No tip. Why do I keep...
Read moreOk. I had to wait several hours for this and then revisit the visit at a distance. Unsure what happened to Bob Evans. This is easily the most disgusting restaurant I have been inside of in a very long time in the Anderson/Mt Carmel area. The windows are covered in grime fingerprints and other stuff that I do not care to wonder about. The bathroom was atrocious. Bubble gum caked on the inside of the toilet and super dirty. The doors, handles, booth, kids books, menus all covered in the same sticky grime. The place smelled like the grease trap or vents haven't been cleaned in a while. Trash shoved into the displays of the items and baked good boxes they want you to buy. The waitress did an ok job. Got my order wrong slightly but was kind and attentive but I was unable to eat it. The hostess/carryout attendant was busy however her shirt looked as if she worked a few days back to back. Unsure what the county's Board of Health/Health Department is actually doing. As seen for myself visiting a few eateries along this stretch of Beechmont Ave I am pretty certain it's not actually getting out if their vehicles and doing visual inspections. Much like this area's Department of Transportation...maybe its a boundary issue between the 2 counties.... I would not recommend this place until its heavily sanitized and management is retrained to train their staff on how to actually maintain a place properly. Unless this is acceptable for this area of Ohio. Then by all means go and enjoy...
Read moreMy three daughters and I stopped in for lunch hoping for the chicken salad plate they keep advertising. We we're told they were out...(okay bummer) so we picked something else. My daughter picked country fried steak instead only to be told they were also out of that. (Okay...so she picked something else out.) I politely asked if the waitress could check if the hamburger bun or any of their other bread had dairy in them. She came back and said that the brioche burger buns definitely had milk and all their others breads also have dairy in them. She also referred me to the Bob Evans allergy site for in future. So my younger daughter changed her meal to eggs and sausage patties instead of a hamburger. While our food was being prepared I was curious and did check out the allergy site only to find that Bob Evans does indeed have 6 types of dairy free bread. The website shows white, wheat, rye, sourdough, English muffin, and potato roll all being without dairy....so either their website is mistaken or our waitress did not actually check...which I think is very disappointing. The restaurant was not busy at all given that we were there between lunch and dinner hours. When we did receive our food it was overly salted my daughter couldn't stomach to eat it. I thought the waitress service was okay except that she may have been dishonest with me about...
