When you have to check for bed bugs(surprisingly none), throw your clothes out because they reek of ashtrays from the "non smoking" rooms, it's best to go elsewhere. The grounds had dog poop EVERYWHERE, there was trash everywhere. Seemed more of a transient complex with broke down cars. Guy opened his door and let his dog out without a leash. I didn't feel safe here at all. It was extremely noisy with traffic noise even though it wasn't that close to highway. The steps going to second floor are loose and wobbly. The room itself was horrid. No climate control, it was broken and falling apart. The floors were nasty, wiped up something and napkin came away black!!! The bed was ok but the blanket and sheets were stained and reeked of cigarettes. I think all the rooms are actually smoking rooms. The shower either was flesh burning hot or the most God awful high pitch noise if you wanted it cooler. The light in the bathroom would turn on automatically if you went into it so that 2am potty time your getting blinded. No clue what the TV channels were as there's no menu(TV channel lineup). There is a laundry area, my dog was free, the hotel is at a light, it's close to the highway also. They want a deposit also so be prepared for that.

My air conditioner went out so just needed a place to stay overnight close to work. First of all rooms were advertised as $67.00 online, when it came to $85.00+ tax AND a $50 deposit, I asked why when online it showed $67.00+ tax? I was told it's cheaper when you book online. Well, I choose to not do this as I've booked online in the past and a room not be available upon arrival and no refund offered. Anyhow, the room smelled of a brewery/old stale beer and there were used wash cloths in the shower and over the shower curtain railing. There wasn't even an extra safety lock on the door, which is awful to put a single woman in a room with all kinds of random traffic of ppl all over the property at all hours. I finally left at midnight and came back to my place and slept in the heat & sweating just to feel safe and to not smell stale beer. These rooms aren't anywhere remotely close to an $85.00 room. Had it been a $67.00 room, as advertised, I'd have less to complain about. Never again! I will pay $100+ a room this point forward if that's what $85 gets me. I intended to stop in for a refund but there was so much outside traffic amd I really just needed a nap before work so I guess I'll take the loss this time

I needed a cheap place to stay the night before an event downtown. The hotel is old and definitely shows its age in some areas, but the room had updated decor. The room got all the important things right, like clean sheets, comfortable bed, no odors, clean bathtub, and easy parking in front of the room. But I will say, a lot of the minor details weren’t great: the door and a few walls were pretty scuffed and could use repainting, there was some dirt in the corners of the room that could have easily been cleaned, the furniture was scuffed/scratched, there was a hole in the wall below the desk, and a lot of the floor planks are scratched. But like I said, these are the minor things. I would absolutely stay here again and I recommend it if you just need a cheap, clean, and safe place to crash for a night or two and you don’t mind some minor imperfections.

The front office at this place has a "This is a no smoking building" sign right on the door... And yet....this does not at all seem to be the case.

I asked for a no smoking room, and after trying three different rooms, I chose to get a refund and go elsewhere.

Each time I was told that it is a none smoking room (which seems silly to even have to ask, as the building is labeled as a no smoking building). Each time, it reeked horribly. Either people were smoking in there the night before, or maybe it is mildew and mold and smoke from long ago… But either way, I tried three different rooms, and I’m going elsewhere.

While walking me to different rooms, I could hear the staff (that was walking me-- not people we passed) arguing between themselves about how upset they are having to clean up after housekeeping, meaning, that housekeeping is not doing a fairly good job. That on its own is disappointing, but there is also the aspect of professionalism, and not complaining about your own facility in front of your clients.

The person at the front desk also took a really long time to understand my clearly communicated check in and check out dates. Even once we had an agreement on when I am checking in and out, he still billed me for the wrong number of days.

I will say that the bed was pretty comfortable, for the five minutes that I laid on it. And despite smelling bad, the rooms looked pretty nice, as if they were renovated in the last decade, or so.

If you are a non-smoker, I do not recommend this place. If you ARE a smoker-- congrats, you might feel...

Booked last minute for Memorial Day weekend. I'm not from the area, so I had to rely on photos and reviews to find somewhere nice enough to stay. Because of the holiday, hotels in the area were charging way more than usual, so the cheapest, "cleanest" option was to stay here. The photos looked decent enough, so I didn't mind paying $120 plus the $50 deposit to stay here (I've never had a bad experience with red roof inn). However, arriving to the inn, the building looked nothing like the photos. The property was kind of trashed, a little grimy. Once inside the lobby to check in, I was acosted by a man looking for a ride through the parking lot to the next door gas station to buy cigarettes. Management had to chase him out to leave me and others alone. Let me be clear in stating that the staff was incredible and kind during my stay. Check in was smooth, I was surprised by the deposit, but no big deal. Cigarette man tried to block my car in with his belongings so I couldn't leave, so that was scary to deal with, but some kind people got him out of the road since he was blocking all thru-traffic. We got to our room and it was clean enough. The light switches had issues working so our lights randomly came on and turned off all night. The shower was broken so it was hard to use at first. But the rest of the room was pretty decent. The A/C worked, our bed was clean and comfy, and we even had a TV, fridge, and microwave. Would I pay as much as I did to stay here again? No. But for a last minute booking, it's better than sleeping...

I booked a room from February 28th-March 2nd. On the evening of March 1st I contacted the front desk and asked if I was to book the room through March 6th, if I was able to keep the same room. The woman in the office stated that this would not be a problem. She told me that after I booked the room to call her back so she could or put everything into their computer system and ensure I would not have to change rooms. I did just that. I stayed in the room March 2nd, went too work on March 3rd, and when I returned was told that they did not have a reservation for me at all. I showed them the receipt in my email showing that I paid over $200 that had already been taken out of my bank account. They contacted the woman who was working the evening that I made my reservation, and she lied and said she had never spoke to me. I then showed them my call log on my phone pricing that she was lying. They still refused to let me stay in the room. And they are also refusing to give me a refund. So they basically stole over $200 from me! I will be contacting a lawyer, as I am sure that is the only way I'll get my money back. NEVER STAY IN THIS MOTEL! They will steal from you and they will lie about it in the process! Absolutely sad! Oh, and the going young man that works third shift...he is absolutely rude! He told me that there was nothing he could do, was very snappy with his answers, and then basically called me a liar...even after I showed him proof that I had already paid for the next...
