Best Chinese I've had in ages (and strangely the most affordable).
I usually have food sent in from doordash. First Wok, Golden Chen, China Wok, China Buffet and a few others I've tried in the area, and Dragon City blows them away.
I ordered a simple General Tso's chicken with a coke.
The chicken itself was $8.75 where other restaurants I've ordered from run $9.25-14.95. There's cheaper out there, but I doubt you get what you get with Dragon City.
Portions were great, it wasn't padded with a ton of broccoli. Rice was fresh. Chicken and sauce was fresh, not soggy or hard at all like I've had from other places, and slightly crispy to give it a good texture.
The container was a good quality plastic where other places use just styrofoam. They had wooden chopsticks of above average quality where others usually just give out forks.
The coke came in an actual paper cup and had a nice big straw. I usually just get a bottle of coke (smaller and double the price)
This meal turned a difficult day into a good one and I just want to say thank you the staff and owners for that. Keep it up!
After trying a half-dozen Chinese places on the east side of Cincinnati, I've finally found the one for me.
Edit:
Crab Rangoon was also great! a generous amount of filling (most only use a small amount), crispy on the edges and soft...
Read moreI am extremely upset. I placed an order through Uber eats for sweet and sour chicken, Kung pao chicken, potstickers, and an egg roll. I did not receive my egg roll and I did not receive any sweet and sour sauce for my sweet and sour chicken. So basically the sweet and sour chicken is inedible because what's the point of sweet and sour chicken without sweet and sour sauce. Uber eats refuses to refund me for the sweet and sour chicken. Not even a partial refund. How do you give somebody sweet and sour chicken and not give them the sweet and sour sauce?
UPDATE:
Uber Eats only refunded me $2.36 for the missing egg roll and the missing sweet and sour sauce. That is unacceptable. The entire Sweet and Sour Chicken should have been refunded. Without the sauce I did not receive what I paid for. I would have gladly returned the sauceless chicken if given the option for a full refund. If the restaurant would have taken more care on making sure my order was complete then this would not be an issue. I am filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau naming this restaurant and Uber Eats. Also I will be disputing the charge...
Read moreI saw Dragon City on a post on the Chowdown Cincinnati group on Facebook and decided to give them a try. I ordered online through their website. About 10 minutes after placing my order, I got a text saying it was ready for pick up. The packaging here is amazing! Good quality take-out containers and utensils. The food was good, but I wouldn't say it was incredible. It did remind me a bit of Panda Express. I got the General Tso's Chicken with lo mein, crab rangoons, and an order of egg drop soup. My order was a little over $17. Portion size for the entree is very good. The container was stuffed to the brim with food. I ate about half of it so it's enough for 2 meals. I was only in the restaurant for a couple minutes to pick up my order but it looked clean, and the worker I interacted with was friendly. Overall, I had a good experience and I will probably go back to try...
