My husband and I went last week because we love the food, but the service was so bad we may never return.
When we walked in we asked for a booth and from where I was standing I could see at least 4 empty booths. The hostess said she couldn't give us a booth (what!?) so we opted for a high top. There's strike one.
The hostess then sat us at a high top as close to the CROWDED bar as we could get and sandwiched between two tables full of people - we are in the MIDDLE OF A PANDEMIC and the restaurant was close to EMPTY! Strike two.
So we move to the table next to us so that we are spaced about 6 feet from the people near us. The waitress comes over and tells us that we are no longer in her section, but she would get our server...ummmmm okay...
At this point we are annoyed and hungry. We waited for about 10 minutes watching servers (AND MANAGERS) interact with other customers and some were just milling about. Strike three; we had enough so we left.
After all that we went down the street to Buffalo Wild Wings, sat in a booth, ate some wings, and drank a few beers. Their food isn't as good, but at least we got service.
Update on 9/3/21
This place has the worst customer service I've ever had. I have experienced better customer service at a McDonald's in the middle of nowhere.
Last night we decided we would give this place one more shot because we've been so disappointed in the past. We walked in, the restaurant was half empty, the outdoor patio was half empty, and we asked for a table on the patio. We were told that they could not sit us on the patio because they had to sit the servers in order and so we would have to wait about 20 minutes for a table - we would have to wait 20 minutes for a table in a half empty restaurant!! We asked to talk to the manager she reiterated this fact And so we decided to leave and told her such. As we walked out the door she yelled after us "that's not my problem."
We went down the street to the Anderson pub and grill, were sat immediately outside, and had a...
Read moreWe came in to watch the Steelers game that wasn’t on regular TV (The Bengals were on at the same time). After the Bengals game was OVER, there were still a lot of Steelers fans finishing out the game, and many of the Bengals fans were watching the Steelers game also (for opposite reasons). We asked the waitress if they could turn the sound on the Steelers game since there seemed to be a lot of interest. She came back and said “My manager said he’s too big of a Bengals fan to turn the Steelers sound on.” We asked her to have the manager come over. He (Joey) didn’t come over, so when she came back I asked if she had asked him to come around. She said she hadn’t. While we were getting ready to leave I walked past Joey, the manager. I said hi and this was the conversation that followed….
Me: I just wanted to check, I asked the waitress twice to have you come over to our table, did she pass that along. Joey: No Me: We had asked if the Steelers sound could be turned on and she said that you said you were too big of a Bengals fan to do that, is that true? Joey: I turned on the Philly game. Me: From what I could tell about 80% of the bar was interested in the Steelers game for one reason or another, didn’t that matter? Joey: (shrugs) Sorry. (Literally as he was saying this single word he turned and walked away from me and the conversation).
I understand that you may not personally like another team, but if you’re managing a restaurant that caters to fans, you should understand your customers. If most of your restaurant is interested in an event, your personal biases should not come into play. Also, I can’t believe that a manager would literally turn his back and walk away from a conversation with a customer. This was extremely...
Read moreMy wife and I went here last night for dinner. She ordered the chicken salad something or other and I ordered 10 fried boneless with hot buffalo sauce and a side of fries. My wifes chicken was NOT tossed with mild buffalo or ANY sauce actually but the cook thought she should return the order back to us and tell us that she DID in fact use the sauce.
My wings, after eating two, were VERY hot and uncomfortable to eat. I asked the server about the sauce and she assured me it was hot buffalo but I've had hot buffalo from here for a few years now and it's never been this hot! I made it through two more pieces before I had to give up and leave because I was so uncomfortable from the burn. What I was served was the atomic sauce, NOT the hot buffalo but other than the server bringing me two waters, two coca colas and sugar packets, nothing was done to correct the mistake. She brought out a cup of the atomic sauce to compare with what I had on my boneless wings and it matched exactly.
Sad, after almost 8 years of faithful dining here, we will NEVER come back to this restaurant. I have been up all night with blisters in my mouth and stomach pains. I can't wait for it to make it's way out..... won't that be a fun experience! I was told by the server that management was made aware of the incident but we were never spoken to by any manager. I hope the owners see this review, take it seriously and address the issue before someone with a medical problem faces this same issue. You have to sign wavers for the atomic sauce, I signed nothing because I didn't order it but thats what I got. Such a disappointment for a dinner night out. Feom now on, I guess I'll just make the drive to Milford for Quaker...
