I reached out to Taco Cabana corporate, but their lack of response reflected the problems of this once clean and friendly fast food franchise. If management doesn’t care, second best thing is to inform the community. A week ago, I paid extra to make a custom selection of breakfast tacos based on a work crew’s request. The person at the window wasn’t friendly but that’s ok these days. When I got to the location of the shoot to feed the crew, they immediately saw NONE of the dozen had stickers so we had no idea what was what. Since it was out in the middle of nowhere and no place to wash their hands, 2-3 ungloved people started opening each one to identify the ingredients. It wasn’t their fault, but about half the crew and I opted out because that’s just unsanitary. Also, the salsa in the bag had a top that came off so that was everywhere including my car. I called to let a manager know, and Mona (very professional) apologized right away and said come back we’ll make good on it. When I arrived today to do what she promised, a heavily tattooed person came and started grilling me about “what was wrong with the tacos and why are you asking for ‘free’ food.” First of all, he clearly hasn’t been to management class because he should have asked Mona (who was right there) privately. Then he comes back to where I was sitting and started scolding ME saying “we’re going to do this this time but if all the food was there (most of the order was WRONG) and we were out of stickers.” Never apologized like Mona did right away and his tone and language was such that he treated me like I hadn’t spent $25 for trash and was a beggar off the street. Two or three times he puffed up his chest and declared”I’m the General Manager” which explains why the reputation of this location has gone downhill. People in a small community talk. I was so furious I told them to keep their tacos and left. The place is filthy. The employees looked like they had Stockholm Syndrome and I’m betting the behavior of this “GM” is why. If this leadership is what is acceptable at the corporate level,...
Read moreI am going to have to give THIS particular Taco Cabana a 1 star. We arrived at the drive thru around 715pm, there was a line of about 3 cars in front. We patiently waited for the car in front to drive up, she pulled up she waited for 10 minutes then another 5, someone came on the speaker and asked if she could wait. By this time 5 more cars pulled up behind me, we waited another 7 minutes and no one answered. I managed to pull out of the drive thru line and decided to order inside.. we were super hungry and didn't want pizza. My sister texted me they took her order very quickly, we were FINALLY getting somewhere.. We waited 10 minutes, ok not no a problem, another 5 minutes.. another 10 and the food was STILL NOT OUT!!!!???!! Since we were waiting I could see the FIRST vehicle in the drive thru get his food but no one else. I was HANGRY by this time. I told my sister , THIS WAS RIDICULOUS, to get her money and we could go someplace else. She advised the cashier PROMISED her food would come out shortly. We waited for another ungodly 15 minutes!!! She finally came out with her single bag of chips and queso, a smothered burrito and and order of street tacos.... An insult to injury, the chips were stale, the burrito was NOT smothered with cheese like advertised, the tacos were supposed to come with rice and beans but didn't and the worst, the tortillas were ice cold!!! COME ON Taco Cabana, I am expecting at least an 8 out of 10 rating, but no I can say were are going into the negative numbers on this one. Unless they don't step up their game, never coming back to...
Read moreTaco Cabana Pat Booker is in need of help. They are under staff and in need of more customer training. My wife and have 20yrs foods service work experience. The cashier said to us( hey the food is going to take a long time cause we are tired from a rush).Wow.Employees should not say things like that to customers. Why is the cashier wearing leather gloves with the fingers cut out like Michael Jackson. The cook doesnt have a hair net on. So as we wait on our order the cashier tells other customers the same thing he told us. As a result of saying the wrong thing, all of the other customers are leaving mad. Our order came it was wrong. Our order was a Cabana Bowl and 3 soft tacos. We received 2 Chicken Fajita Tacos and a Chicken Fajita Quesadilla. We told the young girl behind the counter our order was wrong. She began to yell at other employees. Finally our order was some what right. The employee behind the counter give us big attitude as she gave us our order. At this point my wife was just ready to go. We have the Cabana Bowl but the tacos where the same. Still wrong.Three days later we go back to Taco Cabana thinking the service may have been corrected. It was worse and was a Friday night and still under staff and employees are yelling at each other. We then decided to leave with other customers that are disappointed as we are and had similar bad experiences as we had. Poor management, under staff, and under...
