I live just around the corner and I cannot believe I haven't been here yet! Went looking for a quick coffee and pastry this morning and tried Meshuggah (mesh-oo-ga). We ate-in instead and although could only spare 15 min before an appointment, we found a where's Waldo book on the game shelf to keep us entertained while waiting on our food, which only took a couple minutes. And boy was that #birdznest THE BEST BREAKFAST DISH I'VE EVER HAD! + a Thai iced coffee... 😘 = heaven. All employees were kind, friendly, happy. Do not pass this place up! p.s. Even if it looks full, there is more seating up the stairs by the game shelf.

Line out the door and they worked on orders in sequence. Meaning if all you order is a plain regular coffee, you'll still wait to be served until after the table of 4 who each ordered food and specialty coffee beverages are all served. A single salt shaker and pepper shaker for a cafe full of 50 customers. Might be nice at slower times but I didn't realize a cup of burnt coffee with grounds in it would entail 22 minutes crowded into a corner in front of the trash cans. Bummer.

I work at a coffee shop, and in no way am i baceing my review from that. but truthfully, i have been a meshuggah coffee rat since roughly 2008. way before i entered the coffee scene. that being said. meshuggah, for the most part knows what they're doing. there food is good, and fast! giving how crowded the kitchen is. you cant beet the price for a beer, especially since you are in the Loop and the other option is to go to a bar to pay 5-8 bucks for a brew. your looking to spend around 3.75-5 for a beer at meshuggah. they have a good variety of beers such as mirror pond, boulevard, new castle, and urban chestnut. The only thing i suggest is they try to keep a fuller stock of the beers they offer. That being said, they have good coffee ( for the coffee nuts: its not burnt , nor stale) and a...

Unfortunately I had a terrible experience here. Ordered a coffee, smoothie, & toasted cinnamon raisin bagel to go. First I watched the servers deliver smaller orders to the people who ordered just coffee to go in front of me. My order came up & they placed it on the pick up table and never even bothered to let me know it was ready. The coffee was nothing special and the berry bear smoothie had no flavor. When I got home and opened up the bag my bagel was completely burnt. I’m talking crispy and black. I get better service and a better breakfast at the gas station down the street. Not worth the time or money. I’ve never been so disappointed in an eatery. Save your time and...
