Very frustrated with Noodle Story. Me and my mom came in today to enjoy a meal. They have a scan QR code order system. We ate our food and then we were ready to pay. We thought we would just pay through online because that's how you order at this restaurant, but stopped because the waitress brought over a physical paper check. We decided to pay through the paper check since it is simpler rather than entering in the credit card number and such. When the check came back, the gratuity was already added to our surprise. How could this happen? You give the card with the bill, then the bill will come back with a space for you to write in how much gratuity. They had just completely skipped over this step, and added the gratuity themselves. We calmly informed them, and they not only denied it but tried to say that we had selected the gratuity. Gaslighting at its finest. 3 different waitresses came by to state we had made the error. How could we have selected it? We had not even hit checkout whatsoever on my phone, let alone giving a tip? After a long wait, the manager came to talk to us. The manager was very pushy, and went as far to comment on my mother's assumed lack of knowledge of phones, but it wasn't even her or her phone. The manager insisted on emphasizing that we had put in the gratuity (literally came back THREE times to do so). In these cases, the LEAST you can do is treat your customers with some respect. He supposedly refunded the original payment that was made, and wanted us to pay for the meal again (this time without the gratuity). Felt nervous giving my card again especially considering what had just happened. HIGHLY recommend double checking your receipt when you come here. Left the sourest taste...
Read moreI give this restaurant 5/5.
I went by myself so only tried one dish. It's Intestines Noodle ( as an Asian and a fan of intestine. It's perfect)
Taste: •"The soup" is delicious, with a perfect balance of spiciness. It's good as is, but feel free to add more chili if you prefer it spicier. •"The flavor" is slightly salty, but it's just right for me. I was impressed that I finished the entire bowl! •"The noodles" are cooked to perfection - not too soft or hard, and just the right amount for Asian tastes. The intestine was incredibly fresh, soft, and had just the right amount of chew.
Service: Despite the crowd, the service was exceptional. The staff were careful, polite, and attentive, with 4-5 team members ensuring orders were ready and checking in on customers. There is a guy name Kevin ( or Kelvin) , he is very professional. I like the way he serve! The manager and the owner are so nice and welcoming.
Environment: The space is clean and spacious, with plenty of seating areas on both upstairs and downstairs. Although they were still adjusting on the first day, the upstairs area was well-served. It’s a great spot for groups of 5-6, and there’s potential for larger groups of around 10.
Rating: 5/5 stars! Everyone has their own taste and flavor. I'm not Chinese but as an Asian - Vietnamese , i love Chinese cuisine . Even thought i have been to too many different one, not sure if it's authentic to local Chinese ppl but with me is perfect. And the service was outstanding, which earned it a perfect score for me. Will come back again! Please...
Read moreNewly opened restaurant with exciting reviews. Food was good, but the service could be a lot better. We were a group of 8 that were guided upstairs when there was plenty of room downstairs and a lot cooler too. We realized this as soon as the crowd started to pick up and the place got brutally hot. Don’t know if they have any cooling upstairs.
My husband and I ordered the chicken soup dumplings and the spicy beef noodle soup. The server was quick to take our orders and got us the dishes as soon as they were made.
The chicken soup dumplings were soupy, flavorful, and the meat was juicy, however I certainly think Tiger Dumplings are a lot tastier. Something about this dish didn’t stand out as much. Maybe the size is bigger so the dumplings are slightly more doughy and you don’t enjoy the flavor of the chicken as much.
The spicy beef noodle soup was excellent. Big sized bowl, rich broth, fragrant with cilantro, generous portions of beef and veggies. The beef was fork tender and had zero bones. Definitely on our list when we visit next time. Nonetheless, the service seemed a little too rushed. The restaurant had ample place to seat other guests, but the waitress was rushing us to get our bills paid up and get the bowls taken even before we were done having them. Didn’t like that at all and we had to leave because we just couldn’t hang out with her and other staff members hanging around our table.
Would definitely recommend sitting downstairs and their entrees over appetizers....
