O’Rielly’s Pub & Grill — Restaurant in University Heights

I live in University Heights and I really hoped I would have found a great place. The food was not seasoned at all. We ordered beer which was good. That earned one star since I mean it was canned beer. They also get one star for a clean place. Amended to 1 star because the owner decided to defend his place with longevity and did not mentioning my service or food. Ordered well done burger and it was medium with absolutely no taste. Salt and pepper is all it takes. My fiancé got chips with her burger, which I think are off brand bagged chips. Definitely not house made and Ruffles would have been better. I had onion rings and the batter had no flavor at all. Again, I have had better frozen onion rings. We also ordered mozzarella sticks and usually they are too hot to eat right away, not the case, the cheese was not stringy at all and again the marinara was bland. Also this place stuck in time. They have hand written tickets where my bar tender had to do math in a dark room to add up my ticket. I am sure with a 4.3 rating, thanks to my review, they think they have something but no Irish food on the menu and almost the worst burger I have ever had and to top it all off. Terrible place of business.. I went there after a hard days work for a drink at 1245 am on a Sunday as you can see the establishment is supposed to be open so it should be no shock to anyway that I found it appalling when I went to the door to get in and not only was it closed but three staff members were just staring at me one including the owner (I know he's the owner because when I called after the incident he said so) anyway they just stared at me while they were drinking so I decided to call.. The man said he was the owner.. Anyway I asked why they didn't let me in he said they were closed so then i asked why didn't they say that instead of leaving me at the door and I ask him didn't he think that was rude and the man went ballistic on me and YELLED AT ME SCREAMING "your talking to me like that? " this place has no respect for peoples rights and how to talk to people he then followed that up by saying he was calling the police and hung up.. I won't get into race but just know that struck a nerve considering all the police stuff with minorities People threaten with the police like its nothing this place needs to be evaluated the owner is nasty and entitled he doesn't care about guests because if he did they would have handled it differently I did nothing wrong EXCEPT go there to spend my hard earned money and was threatened with the police because the owner is drunk and his...

OK place. Expect pricey drinks! Food wasn't that great but not horrible, works out well for the hungry ones.

Update to the owner's displeased response of my review. I should change my overall opinion to 2 stars but leaving it at 3 which is "liked it" the place is not sunshine and sparkles. Very rude to accuse of altering your "presentation" I did remove the sour cream but that was the extent of my making it look messy. It looked messy when it came out, not appetizing. So unappealing, it prompted me to take a photo and give honest, fair feedback. My tall Tito and sprite was $7.50, I normally pay $4 at the bars I go to. The pierogis were OK but not that great, I was hungry, it was 3 star food and served the purpose. I gave 5 stars for service and atmosphere, rethinking that 5 for service after a snarky owner chimes in to call out my 100+ reviews questionable.
