Last Wed was our first time at Piada and our experience was 5 star so we went back tonight 8/29 7:30.At our first visit we were welcomed with enthusiasm and a smile.Our pasta was handled well.Tonight not greeted just starred at and wasn't sure the server was ready or not as she was standing by the breadsticks.She slopped the pasta in the bowl then removed half of it.I was about to ask for extra sauce when over her shoulder the protein handler dumped the Calamari on it.I ask for sauce in a container and felt uncomfortable for doing so.The rest of the line were friendly.The cashier said 29.88 but our ticket showed our bill was 27.56.The end line girl stopped us before we made it to the door because the extra sauce had not been put in the sack.When we got home I checked our bill and wasn't charged the extra sauce.The cashier was friendly though.The pasta was cooked properly but when I took my first bite of Calamari not only was it soggy but the order was covered in jalapeños..very disappointed after last week when it was crisp and cooked perfect.My point is put pleasant servers and cooks that act like they not only value their job but the people paying their wages up front.No one wants to see their food slopped by a frowny face in a bowl then removed and served unwanted jalapeños on soggy calamari EVER.Happy the line girl caught the unbagged sauce and glad we paid with a card and not cash.We may try a different location another time but looking for other Italian venues.We are great tippers as we both have worked in service ...not this time.We may try a different location but no time soon.Sorry 3 staff members ruined our dinner experience this time while the line kept it real but...

Been here before, as I enter to order a salad to go, the guy stops the line and says that myself and a girl that sometimes I come with, are always packing up the salad with lots of toppings, and according to him, we do it on purpose so that we may split it, mind you, we order calamari and chicken on it, and the salad becomes $12-$14. isn't that enough for a salad at a fast food place? By default, topping portions are extremely skimpy, you can barely see or taste the chicken or other toppings. I should charge you for two salads he said. Who the hell is this guy? Send him back to the Beachwood store where he came from! Mind you, all this is happening while a line is forming behind! I walked out! Are you sure you don't want to stay? he said. No thanks I don't need to be insulted in front of the waiting staff and customers. Finally I pointed out as I have in the past, that the new grains bowl didn't resemble the photo promoting it above the counter. Either, their preparation of that dish is skimpily prepared, which I believe it is, or your photo is very misleading, which I also believe it is. So it is one or the other or in this case both, sort of a TV dinner with a good photo and a mediocre terrible product. Why not make it right! In the summer you also have a big problem with your strawberry-avocado salad. They are always running out of key ingredients here, and when they have them you barely get any, might as well bring a magnifier to locate them. Overall a crappy experience made worse by lousy management! In conclusion, I walked out and went to Panda Express instead, and carried out a dinner which was consistent in taste...
Read moreAnother one bites the dust! I was around when this store first opened and was very excited to have one closer to home. We came here every couple of weeks. Over the years, it has gone WAAAAAAY downhill. Management seems not to care about who they hire, and I suspect that OWNERSHIP has stopped caring who they hire to manage because it's a joke. As I arrived for my ONLINE order, there was 1 person in the store, the staff was joking and laughing and playing together, including what appeared to be the manager, so I thought oh they are on top of things, I should be in and out! Silly me! Order was placed at 5:29, for 6:00 pickup, I gave them my name, 'it will be up in a minute' Meanwhile, people are walking in to order. While waiting still at 6:15 for my online order that was scheduled...I asked how much longer and was told "we are trying to get the line down 1st" HUH?!? but I ordered online and when I showed up there was literally ONE person in line. They also have the NERVE to get attitude when you ask a question. So the line grew as I waited and my order just wasn't made. Fast forward to 6:30, others with online orders were now forming a line. FINALLY a lady with a 6:15 pickup (mine was at 6) got her food. I finally walked out with mine at 6:37. It's unorganized, unprofessional, and next time I haven't visited a place in awhile, no matter what my past experiences were, I will fine tooth comb the recent reviews. THAT was my mistake for thinking consistency could even be a thing these days. The 2 stars is for the food....
