Jersey Mike's Subs — Restaurant in University Place

I feel really badly about leaving this review. I have always loved Jersey Mike's Subs and often would stop in for one near my old apartment. While the sandwiches are great I don't think I will ever be able to eat at a Jersey Mike's again. I discovered a Jersey Mike's near my new apartment and while the girl behind the counter that made the sandwiches seemed very uninterested in her job, or customers, it was what she was doing that has made me hesitate to ever eat there again. In between customers, she would scoop up whatever leftover garnishes had fallen off the sandwich she had made before into a little pile that she fiddled with while asking the next person in line what they wanted. She would then toss that fondled pile back into the lettuce bin where it got mixed in with the clean lettuce for the next sandwich! I had just gone through the line and was waiting to pay when I noticed her doing this and a couple of the other customers in line were looking at each other like they were wondering if they should get out of line. The store manager Yvonne is absolutely disrespectful towards her employees and customers when I walked in, I asked for a gluten-free sandwich. She was already giving me a hard time about me asking for it to be toasted.. I also asked if she can use a different lettuce that’s not cross contaminated with gluten. She responded that they do not separate the lettuce and that I need to either go find somewhere else to eat or eat the lettuce they have and I found that to be disrespectful in response. I told her that her attitude was out of line and she proceeded to argue with me that I needed to eat somewhere else and I told her that no I’m a paying Customer I can eat where I want. I used to absolutely LOVE Jersey Mike’s! They have gone downhill over the past 6 months! I have placed orders online and have received the wrong sandwiches or incorrect toppings. I figured okay, this was just a mistake this one time. I’ve returned multiple other times placing orders in the app or online and when I open up my sandwich there is barely any vegetables and they skimp on all of their toppings. It’s like eating a loaf of bread as their is not substance to this sandwich. If you do go to Jersey Mike’s, definitely go inside and watch them make your sandwich so you know they are actually making the sandwich how you want it!
