If I didn't know any better and I didn't know that Arby's was a fastfood chain, I would have thought Arby's was a pop group or a rock band. I say this because they keep coming out with hit after hit after hit. Undoubtedly, their first hit was their classic roast beef sandwich. Arby's, I read, was started because the founder's wanted to sell something other than the burger. After that came other hits: the Reubens, the brisket, the French dip, the chicken, and their cod sandwich. Though I don't have hard facts or data, the sandwichws I did try for myself were hits to me. Now the reason for this review. I am writing this review because of that Arby's commercial. I'm sure we've all seen it or heard it. "We have the meats!" And that catchy jingle. Well the commercial I saw recently was for their 2 for 7 deal and I tried it. I got their classic roast beef and their gyro. What surprised me the most was their gyro. It tasted true to form and was really really good. The carved gyro meat was tender. The Pita bread was soft and warm. The vegetables were crispy. And tying everything together was the Tzatziki sauce. The sandwich itself felt stuffed and enormous in my hands. I actually came back a couple of times and tried it again. I'm trying to keep this review short, but check out Arby's and give their gyro a try. They really have the meats. Oh, their customer service was fast and friendly. And the restaurant has been clean everytime...
Read moreThis was the first time that I visited this Arby's and after it has been remodeled. I used to frequent the old restaurant before remodeling and I always enjoyed the food and the friendly service. The service was even more friendly and the waitress was very helpful and helping me to determine my choice. They do not currently have the specials that they used to frequently post and send out flyers about but hopefully that will return soon because they made purchasing meals very economical and had a very wide variety of multiple sandwich combinations that were discounted. As far as the new remodeled restaurant is concerned it is very nice. The old one was rather dated and hadn't been remodeled in quite some time so the appearance is very friendly and comfortable with nice decorations and very comfortable seating in a wide variety of configurations. I highly recommend that you stop by and...
Read moreLocation: Okay, Service:Decent, Parking, Okay, Specials: Yes ( 2 for $7) , Overall: First time at this location, the place was clean and almost empty. It had been way too long since I had an Arby's sandwich and a 2 for 7 was right up my alley. I also wanted curly fries which was also a long lost friend. But alas. Things have changed Abita over the years. While the bread was nice and soft there seemed to be a bit of missing meat. I know the price is lower but we can keep our sandwiches the same quality unless this is the new standard, in which case pitty. I was also bummed with the curly fries as they were overcooked and a bit hard. I was happy to find the place and would just like to try once more in hopes that the meal I bought was a mistake and not the norm. Until then....
